  1. Yep, you 2 look ultra lovely as of late!
  2. Hey girl! I tried opening up the pic in both of my programs and can't get it to work. Hopefully someone else can do it for you. Not sure why my programs are being so picky tonight. Sorry.
  3. Look at all of those beautiful babies! Give them lots of hugs and kisses from auntie Kelly please!!!
  4. Yep, I couldn't agree more. You have ALL helped me out on more than one occassion, and I wouldn't be where I am without all of you. I love you girls!
  5. I also have had my share of infertility battles. I've had 4 miscarriages and waited 7 long years to receive my beautiful miracle called Dylan. I switched doctors 3 times before finally getting one who cared enough to do the "right" test, and who actually listened to what I was saying. Please know that there are so many options available to you and your husband right now, and please do not give up hope. Miracles do happen! If you ever need to talk I am here for you. Please know that you are not alone and that there are many of us who have felt the sting of infertility, and the emptiness it casts upon us. Hugs
  6. Thank you leenerbups for the links and the suggestions. I need to start digging through my old vegetarian recipies again and get making them! I still receive my vegetarian magazine and have gotten some awesome recipies from there. I am going to be making a Flaxseed bread here shortly from the last one that I got. Thanks again, and I'll try my hardest to go back to my former vegetarian ways. Maybe it'll even help in my weightloss.
  7. I seriously need to get a bracelet or necklace done up for myself. I have been banded over a year now and still have nothing. I think I'll look on Ebay and see what they have. I'm also going to contact a fellow LBTer about possibly making me one for cheap too. Thanks for the ideas everyone. I especially like this one: Gastric Lap Band If tubing Required MUST Use Scope
  8. Too cute. Thanks for the laugh.
  9. Happy Birthday Kellie!!! Awesome name by the way. LOL
  10. I'm the odd one here. I have a VG band, but my stomach is so large to begin with, that I do feel restriction sometimes, even without ever having a fill. I go get my first fill ever sometime in a month or 2, and I will have more info to give others at that point. My doc had to give me the VG band because my stomach is so large and muscular she said. I feel badly for those whose surgeons put the VG band on them when they have a smaller stomach to begin with. I wish you all of the luck in the world!
  11. I agree that every doctor differs on this subject. My doc said no way when it came to Protein shakes. Her mindset was that they are calories that should be better spent on eating food, which will fill you up better than a liquid drink. That was just her point of view. Back when I was so sick I got me a huge pail of Isopure Protein powder. I couldn't eat solids and I knew that I needed to get something into my system. But now I still have half of it left and am wondering what I'm going to do with it. I'll probably use up when I get my first fill, which I'll be on liquids for a few days again at that point. I totally understand why you posted this thread girl, and don't worry about it turning into such a controversial thing. We are all here to support each other and sometimes misunderstandings can occur. Don't let it get you down. We still love you! Hugs!
  12. I tried eating a vegetarian diet during the summer, and did alright with it for about a month and a half. I noticed that I had a really hard time meeting my Protein requirements, and thus had a hard time keeping myself feeling full. Beans, ricotta, nuts, and the other protein sources I was utilizing just didn't seem to keep me satisfied. I did notice how much better I felt though, as I felt healthier, more energetic, and a whole lot lighter. Any tips for alternate protein sources? I have been wishing that a vegetarian bandster would step forward on here so that I could get some tips and give it another go round. I really want to try it again! Maybe I should start slow and be a Pescetarian first, then move on to Ovo Lacto Vegetarianism? Any ideas would be great. Thanks for stepping forward. I really needed someone to talk to about this, as it's been bugging me for a while now.
  13. Everyone is looking wonderful!

Never heard of it until now. That's neat.
  15. I'm so glad that you are home and recovering. Know that I wish you all my best and hope you get to feeling better very soon. Lots and lots of love to you
  16. My apologies for your difficult decision are many tonight. I pray that you will find peace, and that your tears will soon turn to joy as well. Lots of love to you.

I'm so sorry Celeste. May she run free in heaven tonight in its wide open fields, know what it's like to be young again, and have the light of Christ shine on her face while she eats as many doggy bones as she could ever hope to have. And may the gentle hand of Jesus rest ever so lightly on your shoulder and bring you comfort and peace in this very trying and tender time.
  18. Congratulations to you Michelle. I'm so happy for you and wish you much continued success.
  19. I so need this! I have been doing so much better at getting my fluids in since the passing out episode a few weeks ago, but I definately need a kick in the butt for exercise - especially if I ever want to get my first fill. My doc won't fill me until I'm exercising at least 5 days a week, so I need to get started on that commitment, pronto. Thanks for the kick in the butt, it's exactly what I needed! I, Kelly Girl, pledge to the said above things, and commit to myself to do them beginning January 1st, 2006. Thanks again for the support & idea girl!
  20. Mega props on the smokless days Teresa! I've been over 4 years without cigars now. It does get easier with time.
  21. Hi Sharon! I'm only 30 but I wanted to welcome you aboard! You seem like a pretty cool lady, and mega props to you for getting a band and getting healthier! You go girl!
  22. Oh man! I totally forgot about this recipie! Thank you for bumping it Jess! I so have to make this one & soon! Yeeeeeeeuuuuuummmmyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!
  23. God bless it! I cannot EVER get in to do this survey. It's always closed!
