  1. Crossing my fingers for you! That would be awesome if you could move by end of next month! Woohoo!!!

Oh no! I am so sorry to hear this Paula! I will start praying for you again that the right couple/person will come along to buy from you. I'll also pray for your family about that bug again. Hopefully it'll go away soon. Keep your chin up sweets. Things will all work out just the way they should. Lots of Love, ~Kelly
  3. Welcome to LBT! I'm sure you'll fit right in. Have a look around and holler if you need anything! ~Kelly
  4. Aw. So sorry to hear of this trouble. I had the beginnings of heel spurs when I was at my highest weight back in 1999. I had to see a podiatrist too, and he injected a long needle into my heels with cortisone. I was surprised that it actually didn't hurt at all. He numbed the area up really well with a freezing spray, and then injected the cortisone into my heel. I ended up needing 3 shots in each heel within a few months time, and I've been fine since. Good luck to you, and hopefully it'll be the least painful route that will help you.
  5. Welcome to LBT Heather! Best of luck to you with everything band related, and also with getting your house sold quickly too! Feel free to look around at the old posts, and to ask any and all questions that you might have. So glad you're here! ~Kelly
  6. Welcome to LBT! You've gotten some good advice from the others. Feel free to snoop around, and just give a holler if you need me. Have a great day!
  7. Please don't feel too badly about this. I was banded 6 months ago today and have only lost 31 lbs. I have not been able to EVER get a fill due to multiple medical problems (all non band related), but am still losing inches. My bras are all getting loose on me, my next size down shirts are all getting loose on me, and my jeans that used to once be tight are now pull up and zip with ease! So please keep your chin up because things are probably still happening, even though you don't notice it right now. Take Care, ~Kelly
  8. LOL Paula! That was great!
  9. I hope that everyone is having a wonderful day! Happy Mother's Day to all of the other mamas on here. What a joy, honor, and adventure it is to raise my beloved son. I wouldn't trade this opportunity, experience, and joy for anything else in the world. The 4 miscarriages and 7 year wait was worth every last tear, heartache, and longing I ever had. Thank You Jesus for this gift that I call my child. He is truly a miracle birthed of your love.
  10. Hi Vikki! Welcome to LBT! I would look on the food Board, and at the top of that board you'll see a post called "Lap Band Food Stages Lists Suggestions". There you will find some great ideas on what foods to eat during each stage of healing. Thanks for joining LBT, and if there's anything else you need, feel free to ask away! We're all here to support each other. ~Kelly
  11. You are extremely brave for doing this. And I want to thank you for doing it too. Although I never posted anything about lower BMI's, and never PM'd anyone about it, I often thought it. Just being honest here. I used to think, "Why on earth would someone who weighs 190lbs. go get a band? They don't need it! I'd kill to be 190lbs.!" But now that I can see it from someone else's point of view, it really makes sense. It makes sense that even though someone only weighs 190 lbs., they still have experienced the same overeating that I have. They've still experienced the same self degrading thoughts that I have. And they've still reached the bottom of the barrel, just like I did. And now I can see that it really isn't about a number (weight or BMI). It's about the way that those extra pounds make you feel inside. And it's about everyone (no matter what size you are) wanting to feel good about yourself and feel healthy. So again Jenna, thank you so much for posting this. You have totally opened up my mind and helped me to start seeing things from other people's shoes.
  12. I'm 6 months out and mine are still pretty dark, raised, and noticeable. Thank goodness I don't plan on wearing a bikini any time soon. LOL
  13. Hooooraaaaay!!!!!! I'm so excited that it worked for you! I'm ordering mine this week and I can't wait to get it! It feels so good to know that I've helped someone!!!!
  14. Congratulations to all of our new May bandsters! You'll all do great!
  15. Yep. You should be able to sleep on your stomach again. I can, but when I'm having a period I noticed that my port area gets a little tender sometimes; so you may want to avoid sleeping on your stomach if that becomes an issue for you. Otherwise it should be fine.
  16. I will definately let you know what I think of it when I get it. I hope we have enough to order it this week. My mom is ordering it as well. A quart only costs $4 and some odd cents from Watkins, so that's probably what I'll start with. The gallon size is $14.99. No matter what brand you get, please make sure that it's pure. I know that Watkins is 99.7% pure and is cold pressed. As long as your brand is pure, then it's all good. *wink*
  17. Oh greeeeeaaaaat. Here I am telling everyone how wonderful Aloe Vera juice is for them in healing (which is true) but now I find out that it tastes like crap?!?! I guess when I get mine I'll just have to guzzle it down (it's only 2oz. per day) and hope for the best. Thanks for the taste warning Kathy!!! OH! And I apologize for the unfill mistake. I stand corrected! (That's what I get for speed reading! LOL)

Alright missy! I don't see warts, a wide nose, crooked teeth, OR squinty eyes at all! You are beautiful! You are MUCH prettier than you think. I totally had you pictured as hispanic. Isn't that funny of me? Funny how we get pictures of people in our heads before "seeing" them for real. Anywho.........you're gorgeous!!!!!!

I'm so excited that you were able to sell your home so fast Paula! I've been praying for you for the past week that you'd get it sold fast and to the right people. Congratulations! And I agree with what everyone else has said. The kids will come around eventually, and once they get involved in the painting and all that, they'll be thrilled! If I lived closer I'd come over and help you move, but I think that's a bit out of the question since you're deep in the South, and I'm way up here in the North. I sincerely wish I could be there for you. Lots of Love to You! ~Kelly
  20. You look amazing woman!!! Hold your head up extra high today because you most certainly deserve it!!! Way to go!!!
  21. I sure hope that between the Prevacid and Aloe juice that things will clear up for you. It's probably wise that you got the unfill too, to let things simmer down for a while. If you need anything at all feel free to PM me. Good luck to you girl!

Oh dear. I remember those days! Please hang in there Trish. I know the first 2 weeks were the worst for me, and after that it all went well. Keep your chin up, and if you need to call me you can anytime. I love you girl! ~Kelly
  23. Yep. Bandit is right. My docs ARE wise to make me wait, but I'd like to get it done and over with. I see my new family doctor on the 12th, and she'll refer me to the Rheumatologist on that day. I already have the name of a Rheumie that I'd like to see (someone my mom works with strongly recommended him to me, as she sees him) so hopefully she'll give me the referral to him. I can't believe it's been 6 months already since my surgery. Hopefully I'll have my diagnosis (Lupus or otherwise) by the end of June. That way I can devote all of my attention and focus to my son's birthday and sister's wedding, both in the first week of July. That's what I'm shooting for. Time will tell. Anywho, everyone who gets at least one fill or more before they're 6 months out of surgey, please think of me before you whine.
  24. Your definately not alone dude. No fill here and it's been 6 months. I sure hope you're not in this same boat as I am 6 months from now. *Thumb down*
