Penni - I realized how my first post must've sounded. I'm sorry if I offended you by saying that I wouldn't have recognized you because you look so good now. I hope that you didn't take that as a slam, because that's not how I meant it at all. You looked lovely then, but even better now. That's what I should've said the first time around. Ditto to what Michelle said. I can't wait to go to my 20 year class reunion (Okay, so it's 8 years away) and stun them all! I am already loving seeing people who knew me at my heaviest and haven't seen me since 50 lbs. ago! Don't you worry, because once you start seeing the weight come off and feeling better about yourself, the compliments will start rolling in and it'll SO be all worth it. And a nice response to their negativity is: Gee, I didn't know that having my stomach cut open and having a major surgery was taking the easy way out. HHHMMM??? That should shut them up. Good luck to you, and don't worry about the nay sayers. They'll be sticking their foots in their mouths once they see the results and that you're keeping it off.

I've finally gone down in my band size. I used to be a 52, now I'm a 49. I don't think I've lost in cup size, thank God! Because I'm only a B to begin with!!!

Congratulations and welcome to LBT! I want to encourage you in the baby department. I know many women who have PCOS who have lost weight and or taken medication and then became pregnant. My friend who was told that she'd never have a child due to severe PCOS and issues with her hubby, lost 40 pounds, and was on a med too. She not only became pregnant, but now has a beautiful 6 month old baby girl. I also have a friend who is due to deliver her 2nd child any day now, and both were conceived using glucophage and clomid. I know exactly what you're saying. Our dog Enrique was our "only child" for 4 years. He was used to it being just the 3 of us (hubby, me, and him) and he had a little bit of difficulty adjusting when we brought Dylan home. I worked with the dog when I was pregnant, and used a doll to show affection to. I'd then ask the dog if he wanted to see the "baby" and he bit the "baby doll" twice, always on the hand when "it" tried petting him. So I worked with him more and more before Dylan was born and he was to the point where he tolerated it, so I thought we'd be ok. Well, things were ok until Dylan got old enough to start crawling around. The dog would run and hide from Dylan, but Dylan didn't get it to leave the dog alone. Obviously I intervened CONSTANTLY, trying to teach Dylan to leave the doggy alone. Well, I wasn't fast enough the one time and Enrique bit Dylan on the hand. Thank God it wasn't a bad bite, and didn't leave scars or anything, but it was enough for us to know that we had to find the dog a new good home. It totally broke our hearts and we both cried for a week over it. But I was assured by the kennel owner who said that he went to a good home with an elderly couple who had grown grandchildren, and no small children around. That did my heart good, and I had to let it go at that. I don't know what your answer is, but I can certainly sympathize with you. NO matter what the answer will not be easy, but just know that in the end you will have done the right thing for YOU. Best wishes to you, and I'll say a prayer for you. ~Kelly

We have discussed this on here a few times before and I just don't want anyone getting freaked out over it. I HAVE to take Naprocyn right now or I get extremely fatigued, and all of the tissues in my neck, shoulders, chest, and back get very inflamed. I also have problems with my heart racing, and also get dizzy and headachy. If I don't take it for now, my life is like a living hell. I literally become a zombie of pain and a shell of myself. (And no, I'm not exaggerating.) The goal is to not take any NSAIDS if at all possible. But sometimes things happen and it cannot be avoided. When that happens, you need to consult with your surgeon and other doctors (in my case my heart doctor, and soon my Rheumatologist too) and see if an alternative is available. In my case there's just not another option for right now. So again, the goal is to always play it safe and smart and try to avoid taking them, but if it's not avoidable, then well, it's just not. I try to drink a lot of Water with my pills, and am using some Aloe Vera juice to help heal any ulcers that may have formed in my stomach as a result of being on this medication. And please know that I'm not advising anyone to be reckless and take tons of NSAIDS, I'm just saying that sometimes we have to when there's no other option. And when that happens, don't flip out over it, just do your part to minimize the ramifications (if any) to your pouch. I hope this helps everyone to understand the thinking/reasoning behind this theory. When worst comes to worst you gotta do what you gotta do.

Mine has been hurting lately too. I just keep trying to massage it and not lay on it funky. I hope mine isn't flipped, but without ever having a fill, who knows what my surgeon will find on the screen when I finally do.
