Afraid to tell people I've been sleeved
I also didn't give a rat's ass. If you have stock in the rat's ass industry I suggest you divest. People are giving them a lot less these days.

Afraid to tell people I've been sleeved
If you tell or you don't tell you are OK. There are about an equal number of people here on both sides I think. Some change their mind and switch to telling. Some tell just close friends and relatives. Then there are characters like me who tell folks for fun just to watch them struggle. It's the mean little boy in me.

how do you keep this a secret?
Just leave out the surgery part. Tell em what you eat, how often, vitamins, water, etc. You are not lying just giving an incomplete picture. Pretend like you're in the government.

Im actually afraid to answer a question in here becauae people dont want to hear the truth
You hit the little arrow, choose My Settings, on the page that comes up you scroll down, hopefully you will see what is in the picture where I have typed "your hippy uncle". Another forumite can't find it either. Maybe I'm privileged.

Diva vs. b***h
I know just how you feel. I was worried about losing my image as an old looking, heavy breathing, jolly fat guy. Now I am a not so old looking, easy breathing, happy but not jolly skinny guy. Image, meh. I always hated playing Santa anyway, and I hated being asked.

Running jump onto a moving train!
http://www.duodenals.../procedure.html Interesting article on the switch. Dr. Hess was metioned in the article. He didn't do my operation but he was, (now retired), one of the doctors at Bowling Green, Ohio, Wood County Hospital, a Center of Excellence, and the first to do the procedure. I got my sleeve there from Dr. Peter Lalor. http://www.duodenals...s_brochure.html

I loved my band, I hope the sleeve works as well for me...
Wow, you've been through it! If anything the sleeve is effective. If you did well with the band odds are that you will do great with the sleeve.

What a good idea! Do me a favor. Stay on this forum even after you get to goal. We need clear thinkers around here. I can't carry the whole load. (kidding)

Discouraged and Embarrassed
Hang on, Elaine. This is just one part of your life. There are many more factors that define your worth. Don't let the past oppress you. There is a giant rising up in you. You will get past your past. There is good reason to believe you will beat this. You are mad. Good. Turn the anger on fat itself, not you as a person. Love you, hate fat. You will find a new life soon. Make it happen. Don't take no.

Anyone with 180 pounds doing the sleeve?
- Looking backwards
Looking back and moving forward you are kicking it! Good work!- omg...
Most of my pass out feeling times were from lack of water. Be sure to keep that up.- Seriously, you can't fix stupid
(African cornmeal mush) Known as ugali in Kenya and Tanzania, this starchy, polenta-like side dish goes by different names in sub-Saharan Africa. In Malawi and Zambia it is called nsima or nshima. The South African name for it is pap or mealie pap. (pronounced pop). When I lived in South Africa, my family and I could not ask for a pop if who we were asking was not used to Americans. "You want mush?" "Why?" I'd like to see an international pop or sody chart. Iowa's apparent switch to pop must be the result of tourists, corn fields you know. Speaking of Africa, do coconuts migrate?- Seriously, you can't fix stupid
Well, us Iowans have an inward sense that we have the superior grasp on just about everything including how to say sody. Folks think we are just about corn and pigs and nothing to do but we bask in our own greatness to occupy our time.- Anyone with 180 pounds doing the sleeve?
You're 5 feet tall, 180 pounds, 35 BMI, and lost 7 pounds on a 10 day liquid diet, right? I predict...65-70 pounds. That'll be 20 dollars. Kidding.- Adding Lean Muscle
Good work!- Did i actually wear size 4 white skinny jeans today...
Wow! If you had squealed on a gangster at your heaviest you could safely live anywhere now, no witness protection. Good work!!!- My mom is making me want to scream
WW is great for many. For guys like me it's like driving up a steep, icy road. Lotta spinning, eventually going backward. Sharing was great in the commune but for losing fat it was like p****** on a forest fire.- Im actually afraid to answer a question in here becauae people dont want to hear the truth
Peoples ain't bad, especially if they are chewing peppermint gum.- Did i actually wear size 4 white skinny jeans today...
It's a good thing I am typing instead of talking, pretty hard with my mouth hanging open! Wow! Congratualtions! - Looking backwards
