  1. I realized the cook (me) has all the power & control. . Since I've been sleeved my husband has lost about 20 lbs without trying since I've been cooking super healthy. I've been making a little extra for his lunches and sending healthy snacks. It's been a great motivator for him to start excersing. We've been going on walks together and hopefully we'll start going to the gym together soon.
  2. I'm going back to partial liquids for a few days. Protein shakes, brkfast, lunch & snacks plus a healthy dinner. When I had the band I think that's what really helped keep the scale moving. Going back to liquids for a day or 2 after each fill every month.
  3. I agree with Dooter. Not gaining is a major success in my book. Dont beat yourself up for not losing. Restart your journey. You're a pro you know what to do.
  4. Like the joke goes, I want my goal to be weight I was at when I first went on a diet 140-145. I'm 5'5 and for me less than that is to skinny.
  5. Clothing sizes can be so misleading. I have a pair of size 16 capri jeans that I stll loose but still wear cuz they're not that loose yet. I just bought a pair of size 12 jeans I can also wear but they are the stretchy kind of jeans. I have several old pair of 12s I can hardly get over my hips. Go shopping try diffeent stuff on even if you dont buy.
  6. I couldnt handle Bari Adv multi berry flavor. If anyone wants them let me know if you pay for shipping I'll send. I have a big bottle. I've been using CVS chewable. Not bad.
  7. I've read that too. Sime ppl have trouble with cold drinks. How does room temp work?
  8. I'm about 9 wks out from revision. I lost about 80 lbs with band but gained about 50 back. I was vomiting almost daily and couldnt eat healthy foods. Chicken, turkey, salad, veggies, fruits. I'm so happy to have the band out and able to eat healthy foods instead of just junk. I'm a slow loser but atleast I'm still a loser. Good luck with your revision. Let us know how you're doing.
  9. I like grape.
  10. Hope you feel better. Let us know what the doctor says.
  11. Maybe have the kids keep it out of sight, like their closets or drawers. Most of the time, I'll forget about sweets when they're not in my face.
  12. Globetrotter, did it work?
  13. You look great. Good for you! Wow 70 lbs in 3 mos.
  14. I feel your pain. I'm a slow loser too. I started out with a lower BMI which does make a difference. How BMI points have you lost? Are you clothes looser? What percentage of your excess weight have you lost? There's a silver lining. We just have to find it Who was your surgeon? Just curious.
  15. Thanks! I needed that.
  16. I added you. You look great! Did you lose some of the 29 during the pre-op diet?
  17. I had the same problem with the band. It's so refreshing not to vomit every day. I've only vomited once since surgery in Feb. I think it was my fault. I had re-heated salmon. I think it was to dry, or maybe the veggies were a little undercooked.
  18. When I was on clear liquids only I would sip on two large 20 oz bottles from GNC all day. The have 40 g protein each. Now that I get most of my protein from food, I usually only need one small 8 oz bottle per day.
  19. You look so beautiful and happy! Amazing transformation. Congrats!
  20. I like the Grape Frost but not the Alpine punch. The Alpine upsets my stomach. I didn't like the green one either. I think it's apple something but, I know someone else posted on here they did like it. So, it's definitely a very individual thing. In the hospital they gave me a 8 oz bottle. I ordered several 6 packs online in that size. They're a perfect portion. 60 cals and 15 g of Protein. You can get the large bottles at GNC and try them the different flavors.
  21. I used the gallbladder excuse too. It does help explain the change in eating. If I have to have it out later I'll have to find a new excuse but with the rate of my weightloss I don't think I have to worry about it.
  22. Thanks for the reminder. I need to get mine checked.
  23. I used to be a beer drinker before the lapband. They told us not to drink for the first year. So I didnt. I basically quit drinking for several years. I tried to drink some beer for New Years this year before I got the sleeve. It tasted nasty. I couldnt do it. I drank coke zero instead. I may try vodka & cranberry juice if a very special occasion comes up but, I'm better off without it and much healthier.
  24. I had surgery in Dallas. The doctor took the drain out on 2nd before I left the hospital.
