  1. My band doctor had me use Optifast in 2009. My sleeve doctor had me use Bariatric Advantage. I think they're very similar. I would use BA over Adkins.
  2. You look fabulous!!! Thanks for sharing. I'll be happy if I look good in a one piece. You're an inspiration for us though.
  3. I like Bariatric Advantage calcium in caramel. It's a nice treat.
  4. I'm about 4.5 mos post op. My hair is looking VERY thin & stringy. I've taking biotin since a couple of weeks before surgery plus tons if other vitamins. It really sucks because my weightloss hasnt been that great. I pray it starts growing back soon.
  5. Thanks for sharing. I know you must be going through a difficult time. Let us know what the doctor(s) say and how you're doing.
  6. I'm no where near there but, that seems very generous. Good luck with your sleeve.
  7. Thanks! I don't know about pics yet. : )
  8. Good job Jane!!! Sounds like we had similar experiences with the band. You're an inspiration.
  9. I've been taking 5000 mcg 2 x per day. I think the hairloss would be worse if I didn't take all these vitamins & supplements. I love how my eye lashes are longer. I'll try anything. I even got some doo gro but I dont think I can handle the smell.
  10. 4 months post op and I finally got a compliment. My neighbor said it looked like I'd lost a lot of weight.
  11. You've come a long way baby! Congrats! Have a great time in those tiny shorts!
  12. I wanna get together. Count me in. I'm a 43 yr old Mom of two college kids.
  13. I take so many vitamins & supplements they should keep me full all day! Multi, calcium, b12, b5, E, omega 3, biotin, extra hair vitamins, extra hair supplement, collagen, co-q10. Cam I o.d on vitamins?

  15. A lot of great ideas. Thanks!
  16. I'm in the same boat. Every lb. has been a struggle. I even gain a few this week. I a little binge. Ugh
  17. Any ideas? I'm constantly feel need to crunch something. Maybe stress. I'm getting tired of sf popsicles
  18. I had surgery on 02/09/1. Thats 6 wks b4 you and you've lost more than me. I am a slow loser. You have to look at percentages. I'm more than halfway to goal. What's your % of excess weightloss?
  19. Interesting. My hair is so dry and brittle I have to use coconut oil on it a few times a week. I'm hispanic and it's always been on the dry side. I agree its your body releasing junk. Make sure you're getting enough water to help flush it out.
  20. Awesome! How much have you lost? What're your stats? When was surgery...
  21. Thanks LadyIvy. I usually get at least 80 g of protein and about 800 cals. I keep carbs very low exercise 5-6 days a wk at least an hour. I've always been a slow loser. My body just doesn't like to give ir up. I do have hypothyroid and am a revision too. I started taking biotin a few wks before surgery & still am. My eye lashes are longer. I love that. My thinning hair isnt in clumps but its been steady since about a week after surgery. I used to never be able to see my scalp. I dont think its,as bad as some ppl but its drastic for me. I dont regret the sleeve. The steady turtle wins the race eventually. We're ALL winners!
  22. I'm slow loser too but, I'll take my slow a$$ 1 lb per week over no loss. My hair is thining a lot. Would it be worse if I lost more weight or faster? Who knows? No problems hiding the fact I had surgery though. No one has notice I've lost weight yet.
  23. You look great. How much have you lost?
  24. Wow! You looked beautiful before but, wow you look so skinny and younger! I'm jealous! Good job!
