  1. Thank you! I was so excited, I had to share.
  2. Finally! 50 lbs down. After going up & down 1-2 lbs for a month, magically, I lost 3 lbs last night. I NEVER lose more than 1 lb at a time. I was shocked. Checked it twice. 16 more to go to hit goal. Once I get to goal, I'll probably want to try to lose 5 more to give me some wiggly room. For now, I'm happy. I'm wearing size 10-12. I'm a slooowww loser but, feeling good.
  3. I would go to the doctor to make sure you're not hyperthyroid or something else isn't going on.
  4. The doctor said that's why I didn't feel like a train hit me. The onq pain ball made pain tolerable.
  5. I call myself the slowest loser. Surgery 02/09/12. I was losing about an average 1 lb a week. I know it's frustrating but keep working it. At about 5-6 mos post op the weightloss has pretty much stopped but thats when the magic started. I'm shrinking. Going down sizes and looking much thinner. So keep eating right & exercising. It'll happen.
  6. Thanks. I'll check those out.
  7. Any book recommendations for books about behavior modification or mindful eating? I struggle with eating slowly and I don't feel like I ever lost my hunger. Any positive, helpful recommendatiions or tips welcome.
  8. I'm Mexican too. I don't have a problem staying away from tortillas but chips are another story. I crave hot sauce all the time & go crazy. Definitely a trigger food.
  9. I'm having the same issue. I have little to no carbs. I've been going up & down same two lbs for over a month.
  10. I wish I had more restriction. I'm almost 7 mos post op and I've only vomited twice. Both times the meat was to dry. I haven't slimed. I'm thankful for that. I used to do that plenty when I had the lapband. I don't know if it's because I'm a revision, bougie size or what. I'm scared I'm stretching my sleeve. I definitely need to work on better eating habits and behaviors.
  11. Can our little tummies handle this much acid on an empty stomach?
  12. I'll post my stats to give some perspective. Gotta represent the slow losers. Surgery 02/09/12. Total loss 46.
  13. I experienced this too. I had been wearing size XL shirts, I carry my weight in my upper body. I thought I would always wear XL which is better than a 1 or 2X but all of a sudden the XL were to big. I was shocked. A nice surprise.
  14. I don't think so. We're all different. I blame my slowness, on 1) revision band to sleeve 2) started at a lower BMI 3) thyroid and 4) just my metabolism in general, I've always been a slow loser. I'm happy with my results even though it's taken a lot longer than I thought it would.
  15. I'm 6 mos post op. I'm eating about 800-1000 calories per day.
  16. I'm not on MFP but, I'm getting about 800 cals per day and walking 3 miles per day 6 days per week. I'm going to start bumping up the exercise though.
  17. I agree, it's better to leave them at home.
  18. I lost very little in month 4 &5 but my body shape has changed alot. All of a sudden XL tops were way to big. I dont measure but I most have lost alot of inches. It's amazing. Now that I'm almost 6 months out I've started losing again.
  19. I like the BA caramel chews. They are like candy. The cinnamon is good to but why not have a "candy" treat?
  20. I think it gets better. I feel better about myself so I'm generally happier. My husband is eating better because I cooking better. We're both more motivated to exercise more so we're going on more walks and to the gym. Oue sex life is better. We still enjoy going to resturants. Some times we share a meal. I still enjoy cooking good healthy food. Best of all we're both getting healthier and hopefully will have many more years together.
  21. Haven't had a chance to ask doc, is it ok to donate blood?
  22. Sassybax.com has an undershirt with sleeves to just above elbow for this.
  23. Yes, very common mistake. I don't want it to go to waste. I'll take them to a food bank if I don't get any takers.
