  1. You go Pasquini! Well done. BTW I want to see a pic of the vest! Don't hold out
  2. Danger Danger Will Robinson! Next time you organize the family get together.
  3. I've made the bites, well my version of them and they are great, and they don't last long in the house hold. Also, the ricotta bake is a big fav too for the mushy/soft stage.
  4. Thats how I got through the liquid stage too. Keep a cup of ice next to you and if your teeth can take it, chew away, its what I missed the most.
  5. It is amazing when you have a support system at home that works with you and not against you. Kudo's to your wife for being wonderful. I will give a shout out to my hubby, each day he asks what kind of protein and veg I want for dinner. He looks out for me when I am slipping up and supports me to get back on the straight and narrow. I couldn't do it without him to say the least.
  6. I agree with you passive aggressive. Nothing you can really do its his mother. Be the better person and let her be who she is, but tell your husband about it. My family has a rule to keep the peace. If anyone of us has a problem with the outlaws we go to the sibling and let them handle it. She reminds me of "Raymonds" mother LOL.
  7. Yes, there are and they are doing wonderful on their journey. Good luck on yours! Do a search I am sure you will come up with something.
  8. Fitness classes! I absolutely love them, I find myself constantly checking the schedules at my dojo or gym to see how many classes I can fit into one week. Fitness Kickboxing at my dojo and mostly Group Power at the gym are my stand by's 5 days a week.
  9. My new addiction is exercise classes! I love doing them and look at the schedule for the gym and dojo constantly to try to figure out how many classess I can fit into one week. I haven't been to a class since Tuesday and its killing me LOL. Had to work late and couldn't make it to my dojo or gym in time for the classes. I try the treadmill and stationary bike but find it too boring. Being in a group setting of (mostly women) people of all shapes sizes and ages who are gung ho about the same thing you are doing is really infectious!

  12. Raine replied to Khy's topic in Food and Nutrition
You did nothing wrong. You needed a little extra flavor and you got it. You essentially made it a full liquid, so I don't see the cheat lol. Good job for being innovative!
  13. My first goal was to get off of all my meds, I was taking 20 pills pre op and am no on only 2 post op. Goal accomplished! Afterwards I Initially I set my goal by weight. No one ever thinks I weigh as much as I do and when I was around 190ish I said I wanted to lose about 50lbs more, people were a little shocked and thought I would look emaciated. I didn't think 140ish would be considered that LOL. I then decided (not because of this but because of how I carry my weight) to do it by size. At 181 I am in a size 12 comfortably, I would like to ultimately be in a size 6 just because I never have been lol.
  14. I used it to make smoothies w/crystal light packs yogurt, orange crystal lite, and skim milk, tasted like an orange cream cicle lol.
  15. I think you will be fine . You realized what was happening and now you are "changing" the situation. Good for you and good luck!
  16. Don't beat yourself up, Lynda! There is always tomorrow. Wednesday, August 04, 2011: 2Protein shakes/dry roasted peanuts/baked chicken/protein bar/No workout AGAIN today! didn't get out of work til way late. Gotta double up it on Sat and Sun. Just FYI 6lbs gone this week!
  17. Fantastic post with great insight. I was a body big mouth for sure and in being so my body revolted on me and said no way, you want to do this then take that! And boy did I. It is such a learning process for everyone in their own way but also the same in so many different ways. We all may have different reasons for doing this but we all know that in order to make the change happen, we have to use our tool and like you said .... IF IT IS TO BE - IT IS UP TO ME! Thanks for posting.
  18. Ok, so I tried to quit smoking and gained 8lbs. I found my slider food and did the snack, snack, snack thing on all carbs! Salty carbs to boot so I'm sure some of it was water retention. I'm going to weight (hahaha pun intended) until I hit 10lbs below goal and then try again so I have some wiggle room for the notorious weight gain that comes with quitting. But I'm still going to stick to the plan and see what happenes at the end of the challenge. Gotta keep on fighting!!! SN.......Starting weight.....Current.......Goal.......Lbs to Goal Raine.........179...................182.............165........17LBS It is interesting, I was talking to Renee' (ybnormal) about it too, I almost sabataged myself yet again! It was always when I started to get compliments that I would start to gain the weight back again. I knew it was too soon to quit, and I knew what I would do if I tried and damned if it didn't happen exactly as I thought. Thank goodness for the sleeve because the 8lbs easily could have been 18 or 28! Back on track now.
  19. Thanks, Lynda. I will do the same, I already log my food, exercise, sugar and weight daily in excel. Just a copy and paste. Today's eats! Wednesday, August 03, 2011: Protein shake/almonds/salad with grilled chicken/2protein bar/40oz water/ 3 diet snapple peach iced teas/worked late so no workout today, double time it tomorrow!
  20. haha that is too much, too much hair that is! Go natural my friend!
  21. I agree with all the above. Did something change in your diet? Low carbing does work really well too.
  22. Yup it does and is. I try not to do that to people as a standard. But I notice it more and more, men are nicer, smile and in general are more polite to me now then when I was heavier. Customer service people especially, and you would think that they would be nice to evreyone especially since its their job. Its all good though, as long as I don't do that maybe it'll rub off on others. I can only be accountable for me.
  23. What everyone said above. I healed well and fast after my initial complications in the hospital. I had a stall that lasted forever too. You will feel the restriction like everyone says once you can eat actual food.
  24. Yes, I had the pain in the side for about a week and a half. It goes away with time, promise!
