  1. New attention from the opposite sex...... Is driving me crazy! Ok, So I have told y'all I manage a bar part time..... I have been having to work a lot lately and Tuesday night I got three phone numbers put in my tip jars. Now, I think that this is suppose to be a good thing. Right? You see here is my issue..... I have a wonderful boyfriend..... but things haven't been great lately and all the attention I have been getting (or he thinks I have been getting) is changing him. He use to be confident and he had a great security about him. Now all I hear is how I can do so much better and he has gotten so insecure. I hate this. Have I done this to him? I thought I was doing something good for both of us. I have watched the most amazing man I have ever met turn into so many I have left in the past. My love and attraction to him hasn't changed one bit. I don't understand why this is happening. I want him to be proud that other men look at me and know that not one of them will ever have me because I'm with him. What do I do? Someone can only reassure someone so much until they get fed up and walk away. I don't want to do that. I'm so sad right now...... My future with him was looking so bright and now I see that wonderful light slowly dimming. Anyone else have this problem? what can I do to make this better?
  2. You look amazing! 80 lbs! So wonderful!
  3. I was four days out and felt so good that I took a 3 mile walk when I did it.LOL I know how stupid can you be. However, trust me when I say this....When you have a pulled internal stitch...the last thing you want to do is walk. I took it easy for the next two weeks and did the minimal of anything.
  4. Absolutely beautiful! Congratulations to you all on the sweetest baby girl!
  5. I went to my doctor. I had a lot of burning around the area he told me that was a tell tell sign of a pulled stitch. So lots of taking it easy and not lifting, walking and such.
  6. Hang in there! Weight loss will happen. The pain will go away and you will think this is the best thing you ever did. Everything you are talking about is part of the healing process. Some people tolerate pain differently. The key is to do what is best for you. Don't compare yourself to everyone on here. I had it super easy until I pulled an internal stitch and then I was hurting really bad. I got through it and really don't remember how bad it was. Good luck and keep your eye on the prize.
  7. This morning I stepped on the scale and it said 174. I haven't been under 175 in years. I almost started to cry but was happy at the same time and told my daughter and we jumped around and had some fun with it. On my way to work I was rolling it around in my head and thought "I wonder if I'm still considered obese at 174????" I pulled up the BMI scale and there it was..... Overweight!!! There the tears came and I couldn't stop them this time. I have been working really hard on my muscle tone because I was feeling squishy and I had gained some weight. I always had in the back of my mind that "muscle weighs more than fat" but it still messes with you when you have lost so much in such a short time. Well, tonight will be the true test. I'm dressing up for our Halloween party at the bar I manage. I'm going to be Pocohotti.lol The costume is a large and it's still fit. So very excited about that too! HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!!
  8. Oh my gosh!!! I am laughing so hard I just about fell out of my chair!!!! You go girl!!!:wink_smile:
  9. I had this same experience in Bryan/College Station yesterday. I wore heels for the first time in a long time and it really took extra balance not to fall over! I loved it though!
  10. You guys look smoking hot!!! Congrats!!!
  11. Hi Nyiema! Congrats on the 36lbs! Welcome! Hope your journey is a good one!
  12. Men have a strange way of showing things sometimes. My boyfriend just this morning told me how proud he is and that he needs to do a better job of letting me know that. Now I have a wonderful boyfriend and he blow my mind with a vary romantic dance and told me he felt like the luckiest man in the world..... However.... This morning was only like the third time he said something about the way I look. So I asked why he doesn't notice more often? He said he notices but didn't want to make a big deal about it because he didn't want me to think he was unhappy with me before I lost the weight. Now I understand his way of thinking. Sometimes you just gotta ask the question. Communication is the key. Good luck and don't be so hard on yourself.
  13. It's great to have wonderful people looking out for us.
  14. Thank you! He was really happy with/for me. He loved that my bp was normal and my heart rate was not racing out of my chest like it was all the times before. I would almost have panic attacks when I had to go to the doctor. I just knew what he was thinking about me. I'm sure I was over reacting but I didn't see it that way then. I know now he was just worried about me. Maybe after seeing me he will talk to other people about this wonderful surgery. I know if I would have known about it sooner I would have done this a long time ago.
  15. So, I went to my PCP for the first time since surgery today due to a UTI that I haven't been able to kick in the last week. He walked in and ask if I was with Julie. Like he didn't even recognize me. I know I have lost 54lbs but do I really look like a totally different person??? It's not like he didn't have my chart right in front of him reading the weight. Anyway, I told him it was me and he acted really surprised. It was a good thing but this coming from a man who for years let me try every diet in the world and seemed to condemn me when I failed. HOWEVER, when I went in an talked to him about the surgery he did everything he could to make it happen. I'm truly grateful to him for that. You could say he helped change my life.:angel:
  16. Thank you all sooo much. I feel very honored to be a part of the site. There are so many great people here. Y'all are the reason this has been so easy for me. Thank you again!
  17. Not so much from losing the weight. I have three kids and the stretched out skin from that is hanging around but only that little apron kinda of thing (flaps on either side of my tummy really). I will have that removed by tummy tuck as soon as I have all of the weight gone!
  18. I just posted the same thing!!! Congrats girl!!! I know exactly how you feel!!!
  19. I love this!!! LMAO! Hang in there. It will end!
  20. I weighed this morning and OMG I couldn't believe what I saw! The scale moved again and I realized I have lost half the weight I want to lose!!!! All of this done in just 8 weeks and 1 day. Truly amazing!
  21. That is so wonderful for you! I'm ready to get in the gym and start getting this squishy feeling off of my body. Looking forward to lean muscle. So excited for you and all of us out there rocking or sleeves!!!
  22. I can't wait for that feeling!! Congratulations!!! You look amazing!!
