  1. It lasted for about two months. It will get better.
  2. They cut some nerves there. It will take some time for them to heal. I still have a place on my tummy next to my belly button that has no feeling because I pulled an internal stitch. Be careful not to do that.
  3. Easy way out comeback... I just tell them I had a very serious illness I was dieing from and I am now in recovery. HAHAHA... It's true. Then they feel like a total jackass and I feel better.
  4. Girl, live it up! You're right, life IS too short! Just have fun and don't fall into any dangerous games. This is a fine line you will be walking now. Just try to enjoy it but stay safe!
  5. I did that one time.... never again. No lesson like a hard lesson.
  6. I also saw you had a leak as well...how is everything with that. If meat is still too much stick to some re-fried beans and some cheese. that may be easier to tolerate.
  7. How long have you been in a stall?
  8. I go out to eat all of the time. There is no way I can over eat so I stick to my small portions (even if I order the whole plate) and try to stick with something that has chicken or beef in it and with small bits enjoy. if there is some left over I take it home.... someone at my house WILL eat it.lol However, I do split with me BF most of the time. Have faith in yourself to make the right decisions. You can do this!
  9. I love them and eat sushi a lot. I usually always get full on edemame first though. lol
  10. Wow! It's really is nice when you start seeing these kinds of changes. I have had to buy new jeans lately and I took my daughters with me. They kept asking why I was trying on such big sizes and I just didn't realize I was. Years of being used to covering up all the fat had me convinced that I had to. I ended up buying a size 7. Those 7's are baggy now but I bought a cute bling belt to hold them up and I will keep wearing them until they are just ridiculously big. I only have 14lbs to goal and I know they will have to go when I get there. The great part is I have many friends that have had the sleeve after me and they will be able to use them when I'm done. Congratulations on your great success!
  11. Hi! I'm from Franklin TX! A little ways from you but we are all very close here. I have found a wonderful support system here not to mention awesome friends that live in my area. You could always post on some more popular forum entries to find more people in your location. Best of luck!
  12. For the first time in 15 yrs. I ran last night. I always used the excuse that I had bad knees. The truth being is that I was carrying sooo much extra weight around that my knees just hurt from the pressure on them. Last night I felt like I could have ran forever and it not hurt (my knees of course, lungs being a totally different thing).lol My lungs are not use to the large amount of air following through them yet but that is changing day by day. Funny thing is my friend Laura asked me to join a 5K with her just yesterday and I told her, "No way! I would kill over!". She being the positive and wonderful person she is, said that if she could do it, I could. So now I'm thinking about joining. I love this wonder decision I have made! Oh, I have one other NSV.... I gave away the first pair of jeans that I actually went and bought after surgery. They were a size 13 that I wore for maybe a month. I gave them to my very good friend with pride!
  13. That is really awesome!! Don't you just love feeling good again!
  14. By the way... this all happen around the time I was four months out.
  15. I just had my gallbladder taken out and my symptoms were back pain, right under my ribs on the right side and neck and shoulder pain. You may want to ask your doctor. I got very sick very fast.
  16. Sounds to me like you did very well for yourself! WAY TO GO!!!!
  17. Ok. Well... I was a 40 DDD. Now I'm a 36D... However, I look better with smaller boobs with my frame... My boobs look like two tennis balls in socks! I will be having this changed as soon as possible!
  18. My BF and I have great sex.... LOL! I catch him doing upper body strengthening and he catches me doing ab work outs in the middle of everything! I know it's crazy but they say sex is the best exercise. I love this topic! I was laughing through the whole thing as I read! Reminds me of :bananadoggywow: and :Banane56: LOL! Sorry that's just funny!
  19. That is really sweet. I have always liked bigger guys mainly because we "fit". Now my options are limitless. However my BF is a small guy that has 0% body fat...please still say we fit. I love that.
  20. Since you are exercising so well maybe you are toning and gaining muscle weight. I am a little over 6 months out and I have stalled also. I have lost 4 lbs in the last month and a half but I have lost a ton of inches and went down another pants size. I have also started Zumba three times a week and I know my muscles are getting back to normal. I hope this helps some. I have 15lbs to lose and everyone is telling me it's going to be the hardest to get rid of.
  21. I was just throwing that out there to let you know about my friend. I would certainly talk to your PCP.
  22. It was the type 2. They gave her some kind of shot that she takes regularly and she is loosing fine now.
  23. I have a friend with Type 2 diabetes and she didn't lose for a long time after. She had to talk to her PCP and they found the reason why. Do you have any underlying health issues that could have you not losing?
  24. This has started happening to me just this week.... However, I have increased my water and thought maybe that was part of the problem. I will take it though! I also kind of think it may be some of the really though to get rid of fat working it's way out of our systems. At least I hope so.
  25. I know exactly what you are talking about. Everyone I have talked to that has had the bypass has resembled that description. Too bad they didn't pick the sleeve. It may have taken a little longer to lose all of the weight but I really think it is much healthier to slow it down a little more. With the sleeve our body takes everything it is suppose to from food and theirs just can't.
