  2. Best of luck to YIY. I am thankful my sickness wAs only 3 weeks long because if i had to deal with it much longer it would of been bad just like yours!!! I was also rebranded due to a slip on the 31!! Good luck
  3. First had my surgery 5 years ago May 31, 2007 I had a removal of my old band and placement of a new one on May 31, 2012!!!
  4. 5 years ago today I had my lapband procedure and was well over 325lbs( after losing from 365 from first part of the year) I at my lowest was 180, but have had some complications over the past year and currently are at 202. Today I go in for a band revision/new band hopefully, or possible removal! I am hoping for the first! At first I wanted it out and over with , but after I got my strength and appetite back I quickly realized WHY I have my band Slips are no fun, not 2!!! So, I am hoping next time I most I will be a new 2012 bandster!!!! Traci

  7. Gina, How are things going with your evaluations at Dr. Ray? How far away are you from surgery? Are you still excited about the change in your life it will bring?? I know that when I was waiting for approval, I was scared, but so hyped......I had not shared with anyone, except the immediate household...so it was hard for me to keep quiet..LOL Have you been able to go by Bike Smiths to take a look at the bikes?? Were they helpful..? I am hoping you are doing well, and if you need to chat, please shoot me a email anytime...would love to help in anyway I can. Traci
  8. I agree...even though the $200 bike sounds good...you can get a great bike for just a little bit more at the LBS... Good luck.....
  9. Well I cannot believe this is the first time I have been on here in this long.....it seems like just yesterday when i started this journey, and I have taught so much about myself over the past years and have changed so much I have a hard time remembering the "Old" me. I gained in between the end of 2009/2010 and had not been back to see the Doctor until last summer...which is when I finally got back on track. Everyone thinks this is simple, but we all know it is something we deal with daily and we have to stay on top of to be succesful. I am closer now to my goal than ever before, and I cannot wait to Kiss the 200's good-bye!!!

  11. I have to say, and to be completely honest, that I have neglected myself since Sept of last year. I have not been back to the lapband doctor, nor have I been watching what I am eating and or drinking. I was down and close to getting below a certain mark in August, and than BAMMM....the ugly head of the past showed up, and my stress, and my lack of dealing with it got in the way. So.... I go to the lap band doctor a week from today.... I bought a skewer for my bike for the trainer... I am signed up for dog obedience class with my dog and I am committed to getting this back under control. I need to be accountable to someone...and will be more than happy to lend my support, to get support.... SO....... Lets get something started!!!!! Please feel free to email me.....
  12. gosh it has been awhile I am still biking, even bought a new carbon road bike.....but have not really been losing much weight. I think my body is on standstill for the time being.... Enjoying the fall weather now that the rain has stopped.....
  13. hello everyone.... well, I hit my 2 year mark this past sunday and also celebrated my daughter graduating High school. I am not at my goal weight yet, but within reach....about 35 more pounds to go...the last seem to just creep off. we have been doing allot of training rides with our friends from the local town.....great times, if you like hills than this is your kind of ride. There is a ride this weekend called the B&O tour in Brownsburg, In It uses the trails from the old railroad, and it spans 62 or 65 miles from one county to several others. Should be a nice day Anyway.....just wanted to pop in and say hello.... hope everyone is doing good....and be safe
  14. hi everyone.... Took off work today because I had a doctors appointment for my 6 month mammogram re check...all is well...no repeat for 12 months.... my husband and I both took the day off and went riding afterward looking for some new roads to ride....had a heck of a head wind, but all in all a real nice ride. We are expecting rain the rest of the week which stinks... Hope everyone is doing well...Julie love your new picture......
  15. J Yes, I do plan to track miles this year, as I almost had 1500 last year and plan to do what I can to hit 2000 or better I was able to get a nice good ride in on Saturday late afternoon, and kicked her down pretty good playing cat and mouse allot with john.... We only rode 22 miles, but had great averages, and allot of head wind to fight with...but it felt so good. It is amazing how just getting back out helps me in other areas as well....as far as what I am eating, how much energy I have and how much better I sleep. I think I must of turned into a bear over the winter...MUST NOT DO THAT ANYMORE> So, I will try and get a ticker back up here and add to my signature KRtork It is amazing how much fun the rolling hills are.....mostly if you get a good speed going down, than you dont have to peddel so much going back up. And you know what..I was off my bike since Dec, and the first time back out I was fighting with my gears too....LOL
