  1. I paid 16,000 for an excellent Dr. in San Fran. Drs jossart and Cirangle have a practice there, very easy and great care provided.
  2. Hi, I am not sleeved yet, will be in 7 days though! Anyway, I am concerned about you and want to send a little note. I have heard of egg white protein and pea protein you could try one of those to make a protein shake... You really do need to figure out how to get some protein in you! Good Luck, Judy
  3. Hi Lootzie, Nice to meet you! I bet we will run into each other as we walk the halls... are you staying at the Kabuki Hotel by any chance? My surgery is at 7am, when is yours? I can't wait to have this all over with... I have not been able to control my eating lately and have gained a few pounds... hoping Dr. Jossart will not be too upset with me. Judy (Curvyjudy)
  4. Hi Chica, Who is your Dr. in the Bay Area? I am flying from NY to San Fran for Dr. Jossart to do my surgery on June 28th... Judy
  5. Hi, I am flying from NY to San Fran to have my surgery with Dr. Jossart on June 28th. I am very confident in his abilities and am not nervous about the surgery at all.. more worried about flying home not feeling my best. I can't wait to have it all over with. There are a few others that I see on the boards that have had a surgeon from Dr. Jossart's practice. Judy
  6. That is my date too! Can't wait for the 28th.. of June! judy
  7. Hi All, I have my surgery date on June 28th and i will be traveling across the country for it. I planned my return trip 4 days post op and not am afraid it might have been a bad idea. Those of you post op, would you have been able to take a full day of travel on day 4? How did you feel by then? I realize I will be different, but just wondering about others experiences.. so i can better prepare. Will be traveling from Calif back to NY on day 4. Any thoughts or ideas on how to travel comfortably would be great! Thanks! judy
  8. My date is June 28th too! i live in NY, but am traveling to San Fransisco for my surgery. Exciting and scary at the same time! Hope to see your posts to know how you are doing. Judy
  9. Hi All, I am getting ready for my June 28th surgery for the sleeve... yeah! My question today is it allowed to sleep on your side after surgery? I have a mild/moderate sleep apnea that I deal with by sleeping on my side. If I sleep on my back I wake up often and don't sleep well at all. When will I be able to sleep on my side? Anyone know? thanks, judy
  10. Thanks Tiffy... again! So glad you take the time to answer all of us newbies. It seems so scary now, but I guess that is why I need the surgery.. so i can keep my calories down... Thanks, Judy
  11. Hi All, I just had my phone consult with the nutritionist and now am a bit nervous about it. She talked about the calorie level post op being about 650 and I just can't imagine living on that amount.... do all you sleevers really live on calories per day?! I think a 1000 would be low enough.... always thought metabolism slowed down under 1000... I feel like I want to take in more calories than my Dr is recommending....yikes.... I would love to know others thoughts on this.. Thanks, judy June 28th sleeve date
  12. Hey, My date is set for June 28th with Dr. Jossart in California. I am so excited and have been reading everyones postings about their experiences. I appreciate everyone writing and posting on this site as it really does help me as I go through the experience. Thanks All... Judy
  13. Got my date too! June 28th... can't wait... Judy
  14. Thanks Tiffy! You are a godsend to us future sleevers! I am now looking into Dr. Jossert in San Fransico for my sleeve. Have you heard anything of him? Thanks, Judy
  15. Has anyone had their sleeve done with Dr. Nick? Has anyone traveled from another state to do it? How long of a pre op program do you have to go through? Any infor would be appreciated. Thanks, Judy
