vacation
The only thing about going so quickly would be not being able to go in the Water. You will be limited to swimmin or bath tubs for 6-8 wks until you heal up. Maybe ask your doctor how long he wants you to say out of the water. The vacation sounds wonderful though!

waiting for date
Welcome to LBT~ Good luck!
-
Is your liquid intake limited to 4 - 6 ounces per hour?
No Way! I drink when I am thristy and even when I'm not! Liquids go right through the band, it's not going to hurt you. But, if your doctor set a limit on your liquids then you should follow his/her rules.

Bread/rice/pasta discussion
I can eat rice, potatoes, pasta, and sometimes bread. One day I can eat bread and the next time I can't. You really just have to try a food to see, and just because you can't eat it today, then maybe three weeks from now you can. Just experiement!
-
Did I mess up?
You'll be fine, especially since you didn't eat the crab pieces. You are going through the hardest part but as soon as you move to solids, you'll be better.

I Was Banded 2/22
Welcome to bandland!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

Too much a piggy piggy for the band to change?!?!
I just ate popcicles, jello, broth, tea, coffee, juice and water when ever I was hungry. This is a healing time, not a weight loss time. I still lost a lot the first 4 weeks.

TGIF NJ chat!
Hello Y'all! I have been shopping! Buying me some healthy chit! :) I have been good all week, and I have to say I am actually feeling better for doing it! I just cut out most of my carbs, still eating the good ones though. Now if I could only do some walking I would be happy! I cleaned some of the house up, just so I wouldn't have so much to do tomorrow, that way I can watch most of the race! My buddy Jeff Gordon got the pole and I am a happy camper! :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: Dianne - I am so happy your are doing better! I have to be very careful with fruit, for some reason it just doesn't want to go down good for me. I love it, but I have to eat very small amounts of it. Sometimes a hot cup of tea helps me but I have to sip it very slowly. Kat - I loved your little trip to each of our houses. That was darling! Good luck with your party! Heck, we sat a whole cake in front of them at 1 year and let them have a go at it, then let him open up presents from us. No party or anything like that. I think the young people of today buys too much too early for kids. My nephew got a real chopper at 7, what the heck are they going to buy them when they are 16? Darcy - I am in the middle of reading that book too! I found it very interesting and funny too. I am not too sure about the recipes in it though, it takes too much prepration for a working woman. Beanie - I think you would make the perfect teacher! That is something you really need to do! :D How's the diet going? My diet is going good, but the exercise is the pitts! Sherry - Isn't that neat the way you can look at the difference in the pictures? The only difference is mine wouldn't have that nice tight skin! Mandy - Hope you are feeling better today! Hello to all of you gals that haven't posted, I'll catch you on the next round. I want to finish up some things before DH gets here and then I am going outside and enjoy some of the sunshine. We have winds of up to 40 mph, but I don't have to worry about it blowing me away!:heh:

please help band infection
Has your doctor thought about replacing the tubing and the port? I never heard of this problem either! Good luck, and let us know how things go.
-
NO more coffee??? Pleaseee..I will die!
My doctor said coffee is fine, in fact they served it to me in the hospital! Every doctor has their own set of rules though!
-
Banded 2/16 Appetite?
Just keep something by you all the time and keep sipping, even small amounts at a time helps you.

Good Morning Y'all! I had all my yearly thangs done yesterday, I'm glad it is over with! It's going to be a nice one again today, and I am going to enjoy a little bit of it. I go out and sit in my car, roll the windows down and eat my lunch and read. I makes a very nice lunch hour! Only problem is I never want to go back inside. Kat - I am so glad the little one is better. Nothing worse than a small one sick and you cant' do anything for them. Good luck on the liquids today! Chrispy - Wow, how special! Let us know what you buy! He sounds like a winner so far! Cassie - Good Luck today! Smile a lot at her, if she doesn't rehire you at least she will feel bad about it!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: Eileen - DH and I want to see that movie too! I think it is goin to be a good one! Darcy - Check to see if the belt is even on the top. Mine was moved over a bit and it was rubbing. They have a place to adjust it if it's off center. Sherry - Awww, sweetie, sure hope you feel better. Why don't you go get a test done and see if you are starting it or not. They can tell right away. My SIL was going through the first part and they put her on something that helped her right away. Dianne - Sweetie you need to take some time for yourself even if it is an hour in the tub relaxing. I know it hard to do, but necessary sometimes. I admire you for all you are going through and holding up so good right now. I know how difficult it can be. Hugs! Mandy - How is the foot doing? Cindy - Pretty soon you will be saying you need to get a job so you can rest up! :) Beanie - King Cake! I haven't had it for a while, but the last time I had it I loved it! Come on, jump on the wagon with me! I decided yesterday I was going to eat right, no more junk and wrong stuff. I made it through yesterday, and so far breakfast this morning. If I can do it so can you! I'm watching you! :D Mary - Hope your computer problems get fixed soon! Well, I hope I didn't miss anyone, if I did I sure didn't mean to. Time for me to get dressed and go to work. I would love to stay home and work in the flower beds! Have a great day!

Good Morning Y'all! It's going to be a great week for weather this week, 70's all week long!:clap2: :clap2: My neck is pretty good, didn't need a doctor, I just slept wrong on it and it takes a few days to heal up. It was harder this time because I couldn't baby it, I still had to go to work and work on the computer which just made it worse. The weekend away helped it alot! Sherry - Yes I did watch the race, my boy didn't do so well! I think they just wanted to end the race and not have any more accidents. I think had they restarted it again, it would be another big pile up! It was too bad for Mark though! Chrispy - Wow, you sound like you are having a great time! I always say you can't judge a book by the cover! Glad you found someone you like! Kat - How romantic! What a special guy you have there! A size 14! Yeah! Beanie - Glad you made it home! Nothing more miserable than being stuck somewhere. So, did you win? Cindy - Have fun shopping today! Diane - hope your FIL is feeling better. Mary - How does your new jeans fit? Eileen - How are you coping with the weather? Sounds cold to me! Mandy - How are you feeling? Hope the meds kicked in by now and you are feeling great! Well, got to run and get dressed!
-
New to it all.
Good luck, and welcome to LBT!

How would you answer these questions?
What, if anything, is too serious to joke about? Death, I would never joke about death. If you could wake up tomorrow having gained one quality or one ability, what would it be? Relaxing more, I never seem to be able to just forget everything and just relax. Whom, if anyone, do you envy enough to want to trade lives with them? If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what woud it be? I wouldn't want to trad lives with anyone, I like my life just the way it is. I might wish I wouldn't get any older though! If there were a public execution on tv, would you watch it? I think it would depend on the reason behind the execution. I probably would, but then I really don't know unless I started to watch it. Would you rather arrive at a party underdressed or overdressed? Definately underdressed! I've done the overdressed thing and was so uncomfortable all evening. What's more important: actual experiences, or the memories that remain from those experiences? I would say memories definately, but then you can't have memories unless you have an actual experience in the first place. In real conversations, do you tend to talk more or listen more? I listen more at first, then I talk more. If you had to chose one, would you rather be blind or deaf? Definately deaf! I could still see everything and communicate through reading.
