Some of the people that was at the cabins this weekend hadn't seen me since I was banded. They all complimented me alot. My one nephew said he didn't know it was me! They sure knew how to make a gal feel good!
  4. Great pictures Crystal! I second that, you are a good artist!
  5. I do the same thing, that's why I didn't take part in the last challenge on this board. It seems like as soon as I try something like that my brain tells me I can't eat what I want to anymore, and I start craving stuff. It's usually things I normally don't eat either, but all of a sudden, I have to have that frosty from Wendy's or something sweet! I actually do better if I just don't think about it, and eat normally.
  6. That is great Alex! I know you felt so good after you did all of that! :banana :banana You should be very proud of yourself! I was just telling my DH this weekend, I can't remember the last time I could walk, climb stairs and feel comfortable like I did while we were at the lake. I even jumped off the boat out in the middle of the lake and had no problem getting back on. It is amazing how much better we feel and how much more we can do after such a short time with this band. I love my band!
  7. My doctor said 6 weeks, so I waited. I swim every day and do all my workouts in the pool with no problems.
  8. Great job! That's what we all love to hear!
  9. One of the gals there, Teresa, cooked us a Mexican dinner with all the trimmings including the drinks/desserts. It was sooooooo good! She taught me how to make some peppers she made that was really good! We were the first people to stay in these cottages, it was a brand new place. We went around looking at cottages too, dreaming of retiring in one of those beautiful places with all the glass fronts.
  10. This is a picture I took from the boat, trying to show some of the lake!
  11. This is one of my nephews and his wife, getting us going on his boat!
  12. This is some of the crew sitting around, it also shows the cabins in the background. We had decks on the side to sit on.
  13. These are the (now get this) MEN COOKING BREAKFAST! They cooked every morning! :banana :banana
  14. Well, we are back! We had a great time, lots of R & R! I ate way too much food, (and all the wrong stuff too) and drank way too many cocktails, but had a lot of fun. We went out on the boats and went swimming most of the time, and ate most of the rest of the time. We went out on the lake last night wand watched the fireworks above our heads, it was so pretty. We already reserved the same cabins for next year. I didn't get a whole lot of pictures, I kept forgetting my camera, but some of the others got some and are supposed to send them to me. If they do, I will post them later. They had a restraunt there that had a band and the guy that sang sounded exactly like Willie Nelson! It was awsome! OK, this first picture is of my DH when we first got there. He has to wear a hat that covers his ears up because they burn and blister on him!
  15. Nancy - My thoughts and prayers are with you.
  16. The sooner the better! I didn't take the pain meds at home, I did use them in the hospital though. Good Luck!
  17. You really do need to start getting his attention! Talk over him, yell back at him, scream if you have to! If my doctor would treat me like that, he would be history! No way would I pay someone to be mean to me! If he starts getting mouthy, tell him you don't appreciate the way he is treating you, you paid him good money, and if you have to report him for his attitude you will! Something is very wrong, and you need either him to make an effort to find out, or find yourself a doctor that gives a damn and help yourself out. Like Kathy said, this is tough love, but we care about what happens to the people here, and if we have to say it like it is to make you wise up enough to stand up for yourself, then we do. We are here to support you! Please don't live like this, take care of yourself and do it soon!
  18. Welcome to bandland! Post when you can and let us know how you are!
  19. Great job! You sound like you are on your way to a better life!
  20. Good for you! Just remember if you don't see a big difference, some people take more than one fill, but a lot don't!
  21. Whooo Hooo! Congrats to you! I't will be here before you know it!
