If you want more info about them please inbox me!! FYI... Everyone please do your own research about doctors and don't let others influence your decision. Also, going out of the US is not what others make it seem. DO YOUR RESEARCH AND PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME.
  8. Wow!! Thanks everyone for your support. I thank God for this forum:) Just thought that I would inform you guys that I pushed my date back to January. I didn't want to do it so close to the holidays Also, were going to California on a train 2 weeks after Thanksgiving. Thanks again everyone!!!
  9. Ok, so my surgery is scheduled for November 23. My plans were to not tell my mom but I did anyway. She talked down about it and was totally against it! OR SO IT APPEARED TO BE THAT WAY!! she tried to make me feel bad by saying the money could be spent on my son. I do everything for my 3 year old. I'm a single parent and I have him enrolled in private school. So she later asked why is insurance not paying for it. I explained to her that they just recently starting covering it. Her response REALLY!!! WILL I QUALIFY? WHAT THE HELL! SHE TRIED TO TALK ME OUT OF IT AND SAID SHE'S GONNA DO IT ON HER OWN BUT THEN ASKS THAT!!!!! I FEEL SHE DOESN'T WANT ME TO LOOSE WEIGHT
  10. JUST WONDERING IF THE REFLUX IS WORSE WITH THIS PROCEDURE ARE ABOUT THE SAME!!! anyone!!!:tongue_smilie:

  13. Do any of you have issues with dairy. If so, what type of protein shakes did you drink? I'm asking ahead of time because some shakes with milk don't agree with me. It's gives me gas. LOL:confused1::thumbup:
  14. Not being rude, but it seems as if you need to do a little more research on both procedures.
  15. Hello Everyone!!! My name is Joy and I am considering the VSG procedure. I have a question that may seem pretty deep, but here it is... Do any of you believe that God would show you who your future husband is if he's not ready. By not ready i mean out there doing things that he shouldn't and not serving God as he should. Just wondering
  16. Thanks for sharing!!! If we could only track down the others!! LOL Thanks:thumbup:
  17. Hi VSG family!!! I thought that I would post a thread for all members that had or is considering the TGVP procedure. I thought it would be a great idea for us to share our thoughts and experiences. I know of only one person so far. If you all know of any others please tell them to respond. Thanks VSG family!! :scared0:
  18. Thanks, please keep me informed on your progress. I have yet to find others that had the same procedure.
  19. Hi VSG family,:crying: I have decided to go with the new procedure (TGVP)due to fear of complications. I'm a single parent with a 3 year old and I'm to afraid of having leaks. I read post from Tiffany as well as Donna concerning complications. I'm not willing to take that risk. I'm planning to have surgery with Dr. Jose Rodriguz.
  20. OK VSG family! I have done my research concerning the TGVP ALSO KNOWN AS THE SUPER SLEEVE I have struggled with my weight since I was 12. I'm currently 5'4 at 208. My goal is to get down to 185 before surgery, with healthy eating and exercise. I want to use the sleeve as my tool to get me to my goal weight of 130. I'm going through belt weight for my procedure with Dr Jose Rodriguez. I want the hunger thing to not be a concern but I'm not sure if that's the case with the super sleeve. I'm taking adipex to cut my hunger but I definitely can't stay on it forever. Therefore, should I just get the regular sleeve? It's still a relatively new procedure which makes me skeptical! God forbid, but what if I have complications at home and none of the doctors will touch me because it's new and they have no clue. Help y'all!
  21. Please help!!! I need a mentor ASAP! I am getting te surgery but i have no one to discuss it with. I'm easy going; Texas girl; Educational Diagnostician;I live in Beaumont Texas near Houston.
