tomorrow i start my pre op diet.I have to have 3 protein shakes a day for 2 weeks.At the dr office they said that medicade asked for some info and now they havent gave us a yes that they will or not pay for my medicare did but medicade is holding everything up.Its frustrating but hopefully they will give us a yes soon surgery is aug 12th

I am almost 2 years post sleeve. I just had some blood work done and my liver enzymes are high and need to be rechecked in a month. I don't drink a lot of alcohol but I do take Tylenol for headaches. So I want to stop taking it, but need suggestions on what to take instead.

Got my date. I thoguht i would be happy and excited, but I'm sad, bummed, blue... did this happen to anyone else? I thought id have surgery in March, seems how i was done with all my requirements in January... Nope, April 21st

I've been 9 days out from my surgery and I keep throwing up brownish yellow blobs of liquids, like stomach bile and can barely hold anything down. have any of you experienced this?

Hello all. I got Banded around 7/16. pre op weight. 253. Today I'm at 225. Everything going fine until a day b4 Thanksgiving, I hit sick, thought it was allergies. I feel better but now I can't keep anything down. Not even water.. I don't know what's wrong. I have a full again around 12/22. Could band be messed up or was it overfilled last time I went on 10/02. like I said everything was fine tool a couple days ago.

Went to an info session at my chosen hospital and it was definitely a wake up call. I am most afraid of being intubated and then extubated after the surgery.

Plateaus Suck! Odd observation... anyone else? I've noticed that when I'm under-eating or eating to much "sameness" day after day (with the intention to blast through that awful plateau) I don't go down on the scale. What I noticed is that I have to have enough calories to lose lbs.. In other words, after a big eating day, instead of the expected #-rise, it goes down by a pound or three. Anyone else experiencing this odd phenomenon?

Well I will be going back to work on Monday , I have been out of work since July I had 2 epidural cortizone injections in my back because of the deterating degenerating disxs they fixed 2 but Iav 4 more they need to fix , while I was off my shoulder becae real bad & I find out I have frozen shoulder , so I have been to a chiropratic? sports therapy doctotor well the exercises were helping ittle with the bat wings but , then my shoulder froze up to where I couldn't move my arm at all , I can move it now but I have to take it sy on my arms , I gained a few lost a few same lbs, I went for a fbarium, flouro, fill Wensday , while the Doc, was putting the needle in my stomach rumbled , I told him not to worry it does it all the time but that I was not hungry , he said he wasn't worried , we were concd though because I already had 10cc;s in my band so after the fill which brings me up to 10 1/2 cc's looked ok and I dran water and it stayed down so now I hope it greased it a bit so I will start losing again so I can post not just good news but great news and maybe tell my Journey and story , just not ready quite yet , it was my 2 yr. Banderversery/ surgervesery on Sept. 28th and yes I cried I thought I would be at goal , but you know what we are all diffrenent and I will get there eventually .

I am so not motivated. Bad habits are creeping up and I just can't control myself. If I can get away with it, I will.

I have watched and read your posts since before you had surgery. you have done so well. you have kept me and hundreds of others motivated. your personality is bright . I think it just might be normal to test your limits. weigh yourself every morning. if you see wt. creeping back on start counting your calories and move . you will be fine. remember how you felt before surgery. you don't want to go back there again.

When I tried to wear a tube top before surgery I was told I looked lopsided , now after surgery, my boobs are even, they are both level to my belly button,lol!
