CHEESE!
I'm on puree too. surgery was may 19th. I'm a picky eater, especially now, i mainly stick to ricotta bake. in order to get it mushy enough (for lack of better words) i heat the leftovers with a little bit of Water and then mix it all up with a fork. i cannot stomach the idea of anything in a blender. but thats just me.

extremely dry feet!
so this may be a bit TMI but i have always suffered from hyperhidrosis which is basically over active sweating disorder. my main area being my feet. since surgery however,my feet are white, dry and peeling all over the bottoms. its very embarrassing. literally they feel like sandpaper. could this be a side effect of not getting enough fluids in? its not athlete's foot trust me.

protein shots?
so i was curious about those little protein shots I've seen at GNC or the Vitamin shoppe. I think the ones i saw were 30g of protein in a tube. Since I don't tolerate protein shakes and I really don't see a way to get 80 grams in... would this be something I could try? they are sugar free and they are whey protein shots. has anyone tried them? I'm going to call my NUT and ask her as well.

Surgery Tomorrow!
Congrats and Good luck!!! My best advice is walk as soon as possible after you're in your hospital room. I had bad gas pains that crept up into my right shoulder and it was horrible, only thing that helped was walking. I walked SO much. wishing you all the best! and hopefully no gas pains

Worries at two weeks
I'm just about two weeks out myself. I know the feeling. I am still hurting at my incision sites. I have 6 of them one of which is deep stitched due to a complication and that site and the tube site seem to give me the most pain. I also find that though I am bending and moving around better I still cannot sit for too long in one position or stand too long without a sharp pains stabbing through my mid section. As far as food and stuff goes, I am ashamed to say I STILL cannot get 64oz of fluids in me. The most I've gotten is around 32oz. I won't even get into the lack of protein, I just cannot stomach it. food though, I literally did not eat or drink anything other than water for the first week or more. I slowly got into apple sauce which i have been eating 1 oz a day since. Today I am happy to report I was able to muster up the courage to try some turkey deli meat and I had no problems. Tomorrow I plan to try an egg. Im sorry to be so long winded but I'm glad to see I'm not alone in my stubble. best of luck to you!
