  5. So excited to post a before and after! This is from March 19th (237 pounds) one week before I attended my first seminar on the surgery, and today (208 pounds)!! I already feel like a whole new person and can't wait to to see where this journey takes me. My surgery was May 26th in Jackson, MS with Dr. Ken Vick. I really regretted doing the surgery when I was so sick post op, but so glad I did. Still not feeling great and struggling to eat puréed foods, but I know I will get there. I start back to work 1/2 days tomorrow and am feeling a little nervous. Praying to get this Protein in so I will have a little energy. Happy Sunday!
  6. Re fried beans were a no go. They didn't go down well at all. Maybe some cheese in my mashed(soupy) potatoes or grits?

  8. I had surgery on May 26th, and am craving cheese for some strange reason. I have been on puréed foods since yesterday. Any recipes or suggestions to get my cheese fix? Thanks guys!
  9. What is the potato soup recipe?? Would you share? Sounds yummy!!! Full liquids is getting old! ???? @disruption
  10. I am also scheduled for sleeve on May 26th in Jackson, Mississippi. I am a 36 year old mom of 2 boys. Started my pre op diet last Thursday. I can have a protein drink for breakfast, lean meat and veggies for lunch and dinner and another protein drink for a snack. First 2 days were very hard, but hoping for a better time from here after finding a shake I can actually keep down. Starting to get very nervous about this journey. Any pointers I need to know? Best shakes and tips to make it through the these next weeks.?
  11. I am waiting right now to have my last education class and set up surgery date. Most likely will be sleeved May 26th. I am also 5'3" and currently 223. I have lost 14 pounds through this 6 week process. Yay! I am a 36 year old mom as well. Good luck to you! I would love to keep up with each other along this journey.
