CHEESE!

I had surgery on May 26th, and am craving cheese for some strange reason. I have been on puréed foods since yesterday. Any recipes or suggestions to get my cheese fix?

Thanks guys!

Cottage cheese and ricotta bake are two options.

  • Can you melt a little bit of cheddar on some refried Beans? I've heard of lots of people doing that post-op.

Re fried beans were a no go. They didn't go down well at all. Maybe some cheese in my mashed(soupy) potatoes or grits?

I was having ricotta and baby food mix but the cheese made me sick and I love cheese!

I'm on puree too. surgery was may 19th. I'm a picky eater, especially now, i mainly stick to ricotta bake. in order to get it mushy enough (for lack of better words) i heat the leftovers with a little bit of Water and then mix it all up with a fork. i cannot stomach the idea of anything in a blender. but thats just me.

@@eyeontheprize, I had my surgery on May 19th as well, but they have already moved me to soilds, like canned tuna and chicken. What is this ricotta bake everyone speaks of?
