    Why Am I So Hungry?

Thanks Seela - I actually added more protein powder to make shakes and that did the trick. It definitely made a huge difference!!!!

    Why Am I So Hungry?

Thanks everyone for your responses. I actually fell asleep which is why I am just responding, lol. I plan on calling my surgeon tomorrow to discuss a PPI and I also plan I'm upping my protein. Thanks again and I will keep you updated.

    Why Am I So Hungry?

Yes, I think maybe I'm not eating enough. I mean I'm only a week out and I keep thinking "did I actually have surgery" lol.

    Why Am I So Hungry?

I was sleeved just a week ago and everything went smooth. I went back to work yesterday and although my energy level is low, I'm getting through it pretty well. My biggest issue is that I am HUNGRY all the time. This liquid stage is killing me, I need something else to satisfy or I'm going to pull my hair out. I'm definitely not going to cheat or disobey the direction of my doctor but I wish I didn't feel hunger like most people. So many kept saying "you won't be hungry" yet, I feel I can eat a big fat cheeseburger. Did anyone else feel this way? I'm on liquids until 12/17 and I'm PRAYING I make it.

    African American Sleevers

I had surgery on 12-3-13 and am feeling 3 things...tired, weak, and HUNGRY. I know things will get better every day but I think I'm getting weaker. The other thing that concerns me is that I feel everything going down - drinking water, eating soup, sucking on a popsicle I just feel it and it is extremely uncomfortable. Assuming that is reflux but not sure as I've never had it. I'm also dreaming about food and all the things I wish I could eat. I'm really starting to see how strong my addiction really was!!!! Hoping I feel better soon!!!!!
  10. Glad I saw this thread. I had surgery on Tuesday and I feel AWFUL, hungry, and am starting to regret my decision to have surgery. I know I'm pushing things but really expected to feel better instead of worse by now. I have NO energy and it's not easy depending on others to take care of you. I'm hoping this feeling passes as I will return to work on Monday. I'm doing pretty good with the protein and liquids but I am SOOOOO hungry and really want to eat some food. So many people told me I wouldn't be hungry and I have no clue how they managed to feel no hunger. Looking forward to brighter days!!!!
  11. Thanks so much, I can't wait to start this journey!!!
  12. Yesterday was the start of my new life.....I was sleeved! I'm so excited about this new journey and can't wait to go home, lol
  13. Thanks so much.....I'm pretty excited!!!!
  14. Yesterday was an awesome day, I was sleeved. I was a bit nervous but definitely more excited! Everything seemed to move so quick that I didn't time time to stay nervous. When I came to in the recovery room I felt like I'd been hit by a truck but that feeling went away quickly. There was, however, a girl next to me that screamed the whole time and that was pretty annoying. I started walking last night and have been walking periodically every chance I get. Overall I have some soreness and a bit of pain but feel great. I'm look forward to beginning my new life. Yay!!!!!!!
