  1. Ok, it is raining here...ALL DAY....where are you guys??????????????????? Get the hell on the computer!!! NOW!!!
  2. God, I love that...."would you like to talk about how you feel he need to be such an asshole to me?? We can surely sit down and you can work this out!!!!" LMAO....that is soooooo great, that is my new thing to say!!!
  3. I agree it was very rude of her, especially where you had told her, but again, people are weird and sometimes have other motives. Hang in there, you are doing it!!!
  4. I did not cheat. Not once, not that the second and third day I didn't want to eat the dog, but I didn't cheat. AND it was the BEST feeling in the world to be able to say so!!!
  5. I found out my own answer!! Thanks to all who replied!!! Just kidding!!! It is fine the fill RN told me. Should not ever be a problem. I didn't think there would be but after reading how picky some peoples bands are, I just wanted to make sure before I put something in my body!!!! So, go get some immunizations, even if you don't need them, you are fine to do so!!! LOL
  6. Thanks all!!!! These are the little things in life that REALLY matter...not how much we can shove into our mouths....
  7. Now I understand she is your boss. SO, there need not be harsh words, and plus you said she was a sweet heart. Is she over weight? That would be my first question. And then the next time it happens just tell her sweetly that all that soup you are eating is just so filling that you could NOT possiby eat the rest of her lunch too. But, if you could take it home and eat it later. Then dump it!!!! Solves the issue of being rude and solves her pushing you to take it!!!
  8. ok J, YOU KNOW what stress can do to us girls. You need to go for a massage!!! Get that stress out and let that weight go!!!! I was wondering where you were at today, good thing they got it fixed at work!!!!!J, ARE YOU WEIGHING DAILY?????? I would hope YOU ARE NOT!!! If you are, I am coming over there to take away the scales!!!! Personally I think your problem is stress!!! You know how it mess with your periods, so it can mess with your mind and your weight too!!! I think you probably have also gotten a bit a muscle gain from this last weekend!!! A pound or two maybe being built up, and now you are not going to see a drop on the scale but what about other nsv's???? How many of those do you see EVERYDAY!!!! Chin up girlie!! Oh, and I had my Vitamins, shake form, this morning, very very weird feeling. Then I had some minestrone Soup blenderized. About 1/4 c. Then just not interested. Then just now, I had about 1/2 c. refried Beans. This restriction thing sure is WEIRD feeling, compared to what I have been working with!!!! I think I might like it though, I was up to eating way more than two cups of food at a time, and snacking. SO, I do think it was my time. I just hope no more getting stuck episodes are in my near future!!!!
  9. Annie, I don'tknow if I want to be the receipient of that!!
  10. Vessa, what ever works for you!!! Ya know, you won't always put your baby in a stroller and walk around your apt. She will grow and get bigger and then you will do something else. I think the important thing that you are doing is DOING SOMETHING!! Good Job!! Some people say to themselves, tomorrow I will start doing something and then tomorrow comes and they say it again and again until they are here on this site getting surgery!!! You are doing awesome, be proud, and if someone does say something to you, reply with "you should of seen me 800 pounds ago!!!!!"....that might shut them up!!
  11. Annie, the reason it stopped raining there is because it moved over here!!!!!!!! I am sending it back your way though, so be prepared!!!
  12. As my DH tells me, "Go to your happy place, and beat the shit out of your fat person!!!" That image right there almost always stops me from wanting to eat!!
  13. Jack, I loved that!!!!! Wouldn't that be nice to fit between the drops of water!!!!
  14. This makes me sick to think that people are willing to do this to themselves. WHY????? Chips: High-tech aids or tools for Big Brother? Debate rages over proliferation of ever-more-precise tracking technologies Demonstrators prepare to march against microchip implants planned for Alzheimer's patients, in front of the Alzheimer's Community Care Headquarters in West Palm Beach, Fla. March organizer Katherine Albrecht, left, said a prayer before starting the march. chips were implanted in livestock, fish, pets, even racehorses. books, passports and, unbeknownst to many consumers, on a host of individual items at Wal-Mart and Best Buy. But CityWatcher.com employees weren’t appliances or pets: They were people, made scannable. “It was scary that a government contractor that specialized in putting surveillance cameras on city streets was the first to incorporate this technology in the workplace,” says Liz McIntyre, co-author of “Spychips: How Major Corporations and Government Plan to Track Your Every Move with RFID.” Darks, the CityWatcher.com executive, said his employees volunteered to be chipped. “You would think that we were going around putting chips in people by force,” he told a reporter, “and that’s not the case at all.” Yet, within days of the company’s announcement, civil libertarians and Christian conservatives joined to excoriate the microchip’s implantation in people. “Ultimately,” says Katherine Albrecht, a privacy advocate who specializes in consumer education and RFID technology, “the fear is that the government or your employer might someday say, ’Take a chip or starve.”’ Some critics saw the implants as the fulfillment of a biblical prophecy that describes an age of evil in which humans are forced to take the “Mark of the Beast” on their bodies, to buy or sell anything. Others saw it as a big step toward the creation of a Big-Brother society. 'Surveillance society' “We’re really on the verge of creating a surveillance society in America, where every movement, every action — some would even claim, our very thoughts — will be tracked, monitored, recorded and correlated,” says Barry Steinhardt, director of the Technology and Liberty Program at the American Civil Liberties Union in Washington, D.C. In design, the tag is simple: A medical-grade glass capsule holds a silicon computer chip, a copper antenna and a “capacitor” that transmits data stored on the chip when prompted by an electromagnetic reader. Top search engines tighten privacy policies Special report: Privacy Lost Implantations are quick, relatively simple procedures. After a local anesthetic is administered, a large-gauge, hypodermic needle injects the chip under the skin on the back of the arm, midway between the elbow and the shoulder. John Halamka, an emergency physician at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston got chipped two years ago, “so that if I was ever in an accident, and arrived unconscious or incoherent at an emergency ward, doctors could identify me and access my medical history quickly.” (A chipped person’s medical profile can be continuously updated, since the information is stored on a database accessed via the Internet.)
  15. what????? *sigh* 20 pounds is so not even in the league of what we have to lose. If I had just 20 pounds to lose, I would NOT of had surgery. You are barking up the wrong tree here lady!!!
  16. Post here when you want to eat!!! Really, you will feel like such a superstar at the end of your pre op diet to be able to say 'CHEATFREE'!!!! There is no other feeling like it!!! Hold out, hold on and journal. When it is all said and done and weeks later, you will look back over your thoughts and think, "what was I so worried about?" You WILL do fine, you WILL be in bandland soon, and you will have lost a lot of weight to start off with.
  17. ok, I am looking forward to seeing you post in the morning about your exercise!!!
  18. omg, so last night I am sitting here at the computer and I pop my nightly pill into my mouth and swallow it before even realizing what I was doing and BAM!!!! It was freakin' stuck!!!! HURT like hell. I jumped up, ( I am still in the category of freaking out when this happens, it has only happened about 5 times) and run into bedroom, wake up hubby, who tries to calm me down, rubbed my back, patted my back and poor thing, he was soooo tired, but he stayed up with me til it passed. God, I hate when that happens. I know I am going to have to be soooooooooooooooooo very careful now and chew chew chew and small small small bites if that pill got stuck!!!! I was so very good about doing the chewing 30 times and little itty bites before and right after surgery, but then gradually have gone back to shoveling food in. SOOOOO, I better do it slow now, and I mean it!!!!! That was a threat to myself.
  19. jm, thanks!!!!! Do you need me to come over there and kick your butt into gear???? GET MOVING, I SAY!!! DO IT!!! NOW!!! And I mean it! You know you feel better after you do it, and you know you are doing it for your health. Come on now, I wanna see some more posting from you this week!!!! Good job on the elliptical today!!!!!
  20. Has anyone had immunizations done, Hep A and B and TB, after being banded or after a fill?? I was just wondering if there were any effects on the fill or not? I wouldn't think so, but just thought I would ask before I go in today...
  21. Thank you all for the nice words. I also love to read about the nsv's. I think they are better than the scale moving sometimes!!!!
  22. I was banded 4-19-07. I have lost 51.5 pounds since surgery. I just got my first fill today, 7-23-07. I lost ten pounds in my two weeks pre op diet. So, I have a total of 61.5!!
  23. OMG....too funny
  24. DH and I went to eat at a restaurant the other night and I went to use the restroom while he was seated. When I came out he was in a booth. YES, I SAID A BOOTH!!!! Well, I was looking at MY side of the booth, (did I mention that it was a booth???) and it didn't look very big to me. I looked at DH's side and thought his looked A LOT BIGGER. So, I decided to scoot the table as I sat down to move it to his side more, but, BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTT, when I sat down, I FIT!!! I couldn't even believe it!!! I never thought I would ever be sitting in a booth and not have my big fat enourmous stomach smooshed against the table so tight that I could not breathe. BUT, there is another but, there was about 5 inches or more between me and the table...WHAT???? with room to spare...I got tears in my eyes and so did DH...what a great great feeling. I was so elated the rest of the night and when I type about it now, I am getting that same feeling. :whoo::whoo::whoo::whoo:Can't wait for the other NSV's that are coming my way very soon!!!
  25. yippeeee I am getting soooooo excited!!
