I really think people are misinformed or do not research the band enough if at all. It can't tell you what to eat and not eat. That is your decision and your choice. It does become a daily struggle in maintenance because you still have to watch what you put in your mouth. I also agree that the band does not fail. People fail the band. Even with erosion it occurs because you are too tight and eat too much forcing the band into the stomach wall. Your pouch is made to hold 2 to 4 ounces of food and if you are eating more then that at one sitting them you are over eating. It's not magic it wont pick and choose what you eat. You just have to get the mind set that you will be doing 90% of the work and the band 10%.

Hmm at least here in canada no one goes bankrupt if they get sick ! pre existing condition no problem covered! most provinces allow wls surgery but if you want it faster you can pay for it no problem ! Been diagnosed with cancer, heart disease etc. you get treated. No one will tell you you have exceeded coverage and send bills for thousands of dollars to your mail box. No one will have to make a decision on if they can afford to take their children to the hospital/Dr. If they get sick.
Our system has it's problems but I will take our system over yours any day !!!!!!!

Fill #3 has put me in the green zone! I have 5cc's in my 10cc band and it did the trick! I'm staying full for a minimum of 4 hours, able to tolerate solids very well and the pounds are melting faster than ever now. I've lost 4lbs in just 3 days (without exercise) and I am so thrilled!!!! I hope you all experience the same results, it is an unbelievable feeling!!!

I thought it would be funny to try on my wedding dress for my kids this weekend. I knew it was going to be loose but wasn't really prepared for what happened. It was so big it barely stayed up! It is at least three sizes too big! What a great 8th anniversary present....my husband has never seen my this small.
    LOVE MY BAND!!

There is no exact science to this, every band and every body is different - keep that in mind and try not to be discouraged. It seems you've hit a plateau before you really got off the ground and I'd hate to think you deprived yourself by going on the preop diet before you really needed to. Don't try to overdo it, your weight will start to come off soon. Remember less is more, so walking is very good for you now. Don't be discouraged, it's going to happen - you are not out of control by any means.
