  1. Smart choice... I loved the 1st dress and the red belt has to go. Have a great time at the party.
  2. Do you know if we have to attend?
  3. BAU = business as usual
  4. Is anyone going to the pre-op meeting on Monday?
  5. I saw Nisrine on Monday and I can only guess that it's BAU at the TLBC, my cheque cleared my account today that I gave her when we met. It's too bad that shes gone... she made me feel very comfortable when I met with her for my consult.
  6. LOL as long as Mr. Yoda can see it I things will be ok
  7. :clap2: Shawn, I'm doing the happy dance for you
  8. I have one more for the list... i don't want my thighs to touch, I was on the subway today and I noticed a girl wearing jeans and you could see right through her legs as she was standing there. I go through a lot of pants, they all tend to wear thin on the inner thighs
  9. This post made my day... I want all the things that you all posted, but the one I really can't wait for is when my b/f can just take me in his arms and carry me off. I wonder if it's as good as it is in the movies?
  10. Robgoblin, Are you from Toronto? My sister will be in the waiting room... make sure you say hi and tell her that what I'm doing is a great thing she still has a few worries about the surgery with any surgery at that. I can't even put into words how excited I am about this, I'm sure your feeling the same way.
  11. I finally got my surgery booked... MAY 4th 8am wooooohoooooooooo I am so excited I can't wait. I met some great women today in the waiting room at the TLBC. One was in the same boat as I am and the other three had already been banded. They both gave me so much information and they made me feel very comfortable (by the way they looked amazing). It was so nice to talk to people who understand what I'm going through and why this surgery is so important to me. If those ladies ever read this... thank you for answering my silly questions and sharing your experience with me. 3 weeks to go.
  12. wooohooo you guys have all the answers. I tried looking this info up on the CRA website but I wasn't able to locate any solid information
  13. Does any one know if we are able to calim the surgery when we file our taxes as a medical expense?
  14. I had my consult and now my next step is to book my surgery date. I haveto do the pre-op diet for two weeks, like some of you I HATE cottage cheese. What yogurt should I stick to? I know I shouldn't have any with the fruit bottoms and it should be sugar/fat free. Is there any one type thats better then the others (not a big yogurt person).
  15. When I first told my family about this they all thought I lost my mind. Now they are behind me 100%. I hope I'll be able to set a date in the next few days, I was able to save 10k for the surgery but had to borrow the remaining 6... I just couldn't imagin waiting any longer then I already have to do this. I have a feeling This forum is going to be on my top 2 sites I visit and I know that everyone here will be a great support.
  16. Dame, Good luck and keep us updated on your progress.
  17. You guys are great, thanks for answering my questions. I've been thinking about this for at least 6 months now. after trying so many diets I need something I can count on to work with me and not against me. I do have one more questions and maybe one of the ladies can answer this for me. During my consult i was advised that I need to stop taking my Birth control pills at least 2 weeks before my surgery date, does any one know why that is?
  18. Hi Everyone, I had my first vist at the TLBC and I can't begin to tell you how excited and scared I am. I should have my surgery date in a few days. I was hoping that someone might be able to give me any tips on how to get through the pre-op diet. I have to diet for 2 week prior to my surgery ahhhhhhhhhh. Also can any one tell me about pain and side effects they had after the surgery?
