Yes the team psych actually has an office within the doctor's office on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The drive was good and the visit went great.

Psych eval
I live 2 hours away from my psych as well, matter of fact I am traveling now to make my very last appointment which is to see them. In my opinion I would travel and make the appointment just to get it over with and get the ball rolling for my surgery instead of prolonging time trying to find someone who will give me an appointment 2 months from now, but everyone is different. Anyways good luck on your journey[emoji173]

4 days post op
I am experiencing the same thing, that's why I've started reading this forum. I had surgery Friday the 16th. I was thinking Im hungry, full of gas or spasms. I would drink a tap warm cup of Water, pain pill and walk around the house...that seem to help me until the meds wear off. Sent from my SM-G920T using the BariatricPal App

Coughing and spitting at night while sleeping
Before surgery I had an EDG done to check if I had an hiatal hernia, and of course I did. I was always waking up coughing, choking and gaging. Along with me getting banded, I had the hernia repaired and I have been doing great ever since. I haven't awakened out of my sleep any. So yes, I will make an appointment with my surgeon and make sure you are ok. Best of luck!!!

HELP! It's only day 6!
- Steps 1,2,3 and recovery
I had my surgery on the March 21st also. I too had an hiatal hernia and had it repaired along with my surgery. Each day I am progressing, but still sleeps on my right side as I heal. I am now 10 lbs. down, and I am still on clear liquids. I went back to work on Tuesday, wish I would have stayed out longer, but the job is not straineous(overlook the spelling), I felt better so I returned to work. I am beginning to get hungery more and more each day, so now I am slowly moving into my solid liquids. I think I can give myself a pat on the back for deciding to do something for me. I too love life, more than knowing that I was killing myself eating just because it's there. This road my be hard, but I will be will be able to rejoice in the end. I can't wait to see my ends result. Good luck on your journey, we can do it!!- Hard work and determinantion really do pay off.
I was just like you, always putting others first. My kids have grown into young men and they are hardly around me anymore. So when reality hit me that I need to do something for myself I did. I got to work on me, and put other things aside. This is my life and I am glad I decided to get banded. I was banded on yesterday, have some gas, nothing I can't handle. I think I will be happy with the end results.- March 2013 Surgery Dates?
As of yesterday, the 21st, I am among the lap banders. I am little sore in the chest and shoulders, but its nothing I haven't prepared myself for. I am really excited to start this journey.- March 2013 Surgery Dates?
Ok I sure will, I am getting a lil nervous right now just thinking about it.- Phentermine
I havent been banded yet, but I have tried the phentermine on several occassions and I only took it for the energy because my body had become familiar with the drug. But I think that it will work really well with the band, because the phentermine do give you that boost of energy to want to exercise. I was considering taking it myself after I get my band. That was a question in the back of my mind, so if it doesn't hurt or affect you in any way while having the band, talk with your doctor maybe he can give you some insight on how effective it is.- Timey
