Mushies stage, did anyone have baby food?
When I first started out, I seriously considered purchasing some baby food but got chicken and didn't lol.

Do you miss soda?
No I can't say that I do but if I have a craving for it which I have three times in the three yrs I've been banded, I drank half a sprite and was done. Don't miss it at all.

Two month in!
After consistently allowing your self to get stuck because of big bites will tend to make you remember to take smaller bites and chew, chew, chew. I have to consistently tell myself to slooooowwwww doooowwwnnnn. Take your time. Eating is not a marathon. I put my fork down, I play with my phone by reading articles on the Internet, come here on the forum. Whatever it takes to distract me to keep from eating too fast until it finally sunk in. I now automatically eat slower and take my time. Good luck. You will get there.

What is your go-to sweet?
Whatever I'm craving. It can be a certain type of cake, cookie, ice cream, or chocolate. I give in to my cravings because if I don't, it will haunt me. I do not overindulge. I will have a taste (small piece) or a couple spoonfuls of ice cream or one maybe two cookies or that piece of chocolate and then that's it.

Getting to Know Your Band
Wow in just six months out? It took me over a year to figure some of what you said and then some. Now that I'm three years post op, I know my band as if I created it myself. LOL It is a weird yet AWESOME feeling living a banded lifestyle. Great post.

Are you happier now that you are thinner?
Yep. I agree.

Are you happier now that you are thinner?
I understand where she is coming from; however, I love myself smaller. I'm greatful I don't have the doctor bills plus medication that comes along with being morbidly obese. I'm no longer "at risk".

breaking the rules....small bites, chew lots, eat small amounts
By following the rules. I absolutely refuse to go back to what I put all this money, time and effort into losing weight to not follow the rules by "getting off the wagon" as I see many people say they have done. Yes, different situations have come in my life that caused me to be so depressed. In the past, I would have eaten myself miserably. But with my band, I just can't or won't do that to myself. It's all about what YOU want. Either you want to be fat or you don't. And I'm three years out. Good luck.

I would ideally like to lose half my weight
Actually not really. I was 231 and am now 142. I was a size 22 and is in a size 10.
