  1. Congratulations on being banded.
  2. Congratulations on losing 26 lbs. That's great!!! It is hard and it will be a struggle. Just keep focused and know that there's light at the end of the tunnel. Continued success.
  3. When I first started out, I seriously considered purchasing some baby food but got chicken and didn't lol.
  4. No I can't say that I do but if I have a craving for it which I have three times in the three yrs I've been banded, I drank half a sprite and was done. Don't miss it at all.
  5. After consistently allowing your self to get stuck because of big bites will tend to make you remember to take smaller bites and chew, chew, chew. I have to consistently tell myself to slooooowwwww doooowwwnnnn. Take your time. Eating is not a marathon. I put my fork down, I play with my phone by reading articles on the Internet, come here on the forum. Whatever it takes to distract me to keep from eating too fast until it finally sunk in. I now automatically eat slower and take my time. Good luck. You will get there.
  6. Welcome to banderland. Follow your doctor's orders and all will be fine.
  7. Awesome!!! Congratulations and continued success.
  8. Awesome!!! Congratulations!! Happy healing
  9. Whatever I'm craving. It can be a certain type of cake, cookie, ice cream, or chocolate. I give in to my cravings because if I don't, it will haunt me. I do not overindulge. I will have a taste (small piece) or a couple spoonfuls of ice cream or one maybe two cookies or that piece of chocolate and then that's it.
  10. Wow in just six months out? It took me over a year to figure some of what you said and then some. Now that I'm three years post op, I know my band as if I created it myself. LOL It is a weird yet AWESOME feeling living a banded lifestyle. Great post.
  11. Congratulations on making the decision to become a healthier you. Good luck.
  12. Good luck to getting back on track.
  13. Lol not laughing at you but with you. I felt the same way at first but in time the feelings do go away. Good luck on the new and improved you.
  14. Wow! Congratulations on ten yrs of being banded. I'm glad to know that not everyone has major complications. Thank you for posting and continued success.
  15. I understand where she is coming from; however, I love myself smaller. I'm greatful I don't have the doctor bills plus medication that comes along with being morbidly obese. I'm no longer "at risk".
  16. By following the rules. I absolutely refuse to go back to what I put all this money, time and effort into losing weight to not follow the rules by "getting off the wagon" as I see many people say they have done. Yes, different situations have come in my life that caused me to be so depressed. In the past, I would have eaten myself miserably. But with my band, I just can't or won't do that to myself. It's all about what YOU want. Either you want to be fat or you don't. And I'm three years out. Good luck.
  17. Actually not really. I was 231 and am now 142. I was a size 22 and is in a size 10.
  18. Aww congratulations and best wishes
  19. Sorry you don't have anyone other than your hubby to cheer you on, but congratulations on being a "looser". Doesn't it feel great? Keep up the great work and welcome to onderland.
  20. Wow! Congratulations.
