Your an amazing successful lady, an inspiration to us all, embrace your success, you so deserve it. I want to walk in your foot steps and achieve what you have. It is time now to believe in you and accept that you are slim and beautiful. Good Luck.
  4. I know some people have never needed a fill, but those that do, what is the average wait between fills? Has anyone waited 8 weeks between 1st and 2nd fill?
  5. My band has been a very friendly fellow until today. Had my surgery 8 weeks ago and have never had a stuck episode until today. In an effort to eat more protein ( coz I am hungry all the time, had mr first fill three weeks ago) my darling husband made me two boiled eggs to take to work with me. Went into a meeting this morning that lasted four hours, came out ravenous, ate both boiled eggs way to fast and whoops!!! A mild stuck episode. So now I have some idea what the folks are talking about on this site.
  6. My surgery date was the same as yours. I have a 10cc band. I had a fill three weeks ago but still no restriction I am counting calories and walking like crazy but I long to find the green zone, you wanted to let you know that your not alone. My doctor told me to go back in 8 weeks, I don't think I can hold on that long.

I am about eights weeks out of surgery, and I have not had the loss of a child to contend with but still I have not been perfect on this weight loss journey. The band will work if we want it too, and it is much easier to get back on track. Don't be too hard on yourself, we can change some things but not others, it was a hard day for you and that will never go away.
  8. I was just wondering if you got stuck when your band was less full. I have 3cc in a 10cc and I can eat anything and I know it is silly but I would welcome being stuck just once to know that the band is working for me.
  9. I had my first fill on 4/26 my doctor said come back in 8 weeks. I have felt no restriction and I am hanging on for dear life with my dieting. Each day I get more hungry and it is getting difficult, I can also eat anything. I want to phone and ask him if I can come back after three weeks but I am scared he will think I am not trying hard enough. What do you guys think?

  16. Thank you all for your comments and help, I really found the info most helpful.
  17. I have a 10 cc band, my surgeon told me that he never puts the full 10 cc in the band. So how much can you put in?
  18. Many congratulations, you look amazing.
  19. Amazing inspiring blog, I read a thread today about some person newly banded who wanted positive reads, I am quite a newbie myself and this is the best I have read joining, thank you so much, and may The Lord take you all the way, you truly deserve your success.
  20. At three weeks my hunger came back, but I counted every calorie and upped my walking, each week my calories were increasing slightly, I hung in there for another two weeks until I got my first fill. It was hard but if I can do it anyone can. Good Luck.
  21. Can't believe how much food people consume just because they are away from home and it's free. Feel like a non-drinker watching everyone get drunk! Don't mean to be judgemental and well aware it could be me a few weeks ago.
