  1. My husband has been an absolute star and he is with me every step of the way from the money it has cost to changing bandages and walking with me. I am a very lucky lady!!!!
  2. Thanks all, we changed the dressing for the last Time today and going to make the visit and let medical staff remove them. Come this far real good so don't want to slip now.
  3. I seven days out too, oh actually eight today. I actually feel guilty when reading some posts coz I am feeling really good. I have walked each day and today did one hour and fifteen minutes. I only took four pain killers and had no gas problems. I feel very lucky and thankful.
  4. We live five hours from doctors, hubby thinking of removing stitches on Sunday (10 days post op) I am not sure if to let him or not.
  5. Thanks all for the support, I guess time and practice will make perfect with band.

  7. BIG well done you!! That is a wonderful milestone to reach congratulations.
  8. Roxie I with you, I am only on Day 6 put I following 100%. Can I ask how much you have lost after 6 weeks?
  9. I am on Day 6 (still fluid). I can drink must faster than on day one. I followed everything 100% and feel absolutely great. My question would I get a reaction from the band if I am drinking too fast? I finish 500ml water in two hours it is difficult to train not to take big swigs.
  10. Fantastic news, so well done to you. It gives all us newly banded so much hope for our future. Enjoy your success so have earned it.
  11. Thanks, I decided against pain meds, after the first day and I am honestly not hungry. This is also my first time on post-op and I posted and then read. It seems I have nothing to complain about after reading some threads, but thank you for your kind words it has picked up my spirits.
  12. Such inspiration, thanks for sharing it me hope.
  13. It has all gone superb for me, so why have I woken Day four feeling a tad down. Wow, have to get out walking and shake this feeling off soon.
  14. My big day is here, lay in bed just awaiting to be banded. I am second on list so two hours to go. Don't even feel nervous.

  17. I don't really like hearing about complications, it puts the fear of God into me. I think your being very brave and positive though and I wish you a very speedy recovery. Good Luck!
  18. Timely, I am also 21st March. Lets keep it touch and swap notes!
  19. "Fortune favors the brave" you are brave today, Good Luck can't wait to join you next week.
  20. I thank God for this site every day, I was trying to figure why I am scared, I had gastric balloon two years ago so I know the surgery drill (lost 17kgs and put it all back, once the balloon came out) in 2006 went from 100kgs to 65kgs with slimming tablets learned good eating habits small plate, portion control etc then had lapse and put all the weight back. So I have worked out that what I am afraid of is failing again. My husband is very supportive, but each time I do this I use loads of our hard earned cash. I get it though it is up to me to stand up, thank God I have got support, I am not going to fail coz I will do as you advise and follow doctors advise and stay on track. Thank you for your support. I am a bean counter who can't count (LOL) my surgery is on 21st March only 12 days.
  21. I am doing fine and facing up to decision that was long overdue. I am so glad you keep it real, I can't tell you how much I needed a wake up call. I am counting down now only 22 days to go. I hope you don't mind but I follow everything you write you have become my Lap Band Hero. Looking forward to the day I can give something back to the site.
  22. AWESOME you have such a pretty face both before and after. Congrats on your weight loss.
  23. Thanks I thought I might be doing something wrong but that is how it is working for me.
  24. How do I get to the blogs from LapBandTalk? I am not sure I have the right app. I don't see people profiles either unless I google LapBand and go into program that way.
  25. Thank you all for both the positive and negative comments, I was at a real low place yesterday but today I turn the corner and face up to want comes a stronger person. I know that by Christmas I will be healthy and happy.
