Bariatric journey Multiple procedures Since 2018 Post-op
  1. It took me 6 month but that was because of insurance weigh ins. So I would say it depends on your insurance unless your self pay.
  2. New York Bariatric Group is fantastic.. I’ve used Dr.Garber and Dr. Holliver but im sure all the surgeons in their practice are fantastic. I’ve been with that practice since 2012 and they are great from the office staff, nurses, pa’s, and surgeons :)

  4. I forgot to say I’m in Long Island:)
  5. Hey, I’m Stacey. I was banded in 2012, then sleeved last month.
  6. Hey.. I've had tummy tuck (July 2015)after loosing 125 pounds with the lapband, it slipped I gained some of that weight back and revised to the sleeve in February. I have had no problems besides know I have a bunch of little scars on my stomach.

  8. I had my one moth today. I lost 10 more pounds for a total of 26 from pre op and 17 from surgery.
  9. I have been a patient of NYBG for about 6 years and that office has been nothing less then fantastic, I can't say enough good things. Of course, I don't really see the doctors unless its surgery or an endoscopy but the staff is great. I really just see the PA, Nicole. I also saw Sharon for the nutrition consult and for my first follow up. I email a lot and my questions are always answered pretty quickly. As for soft foods, I didn't have any problems and stayed on all protein soft for the month and just started solid protein,
  10. I am feeling good, back to normal besides the fact that some days I am absolutely exhausted but it’s getting better. Wednesday is my one month visit. Our stats are around the same. Hw286 sw272 cw253. I am a revision patient though. I had the lapband for 5 Years and revised to the sleeve.
  11. Hey, I am in Long Island and was sleeved by Dr.Holover February 13th

  20. I am having the lapband removal and then a couple months later I am having the sleeve. I was told they have to be done separately
  21. Hi Everyone, My Lapland removal was just approved by the insurance company. I was just wondering how the recovery is for the Lapland removal? I am trying to anticipate how many days of work I need to take off. Thank you in advance

  31. I started going to the gym very early in my journey. I workout about5-6 days a week for about 1- 1 1/2 hours and it has truly made a difference in my weight loss. I have been doing a combination of strength training and cardio. It's crazy the things I couldn't do in the beginning but can do now!
  32. Hi Nicole- this journey has probably been the hardest things I've ever done and stuck with. I'm 25 and there's always temptations! I do struggle daily still but I lean on my friends for support. The feeling of success is worth it! I started going to the gym very early in my journey and built a strong support system there. I truly believe that working out has helped me so much. You can do it! If you need anything or just need to talk , message me
