  1. I would call your surgeons office and explain. I bet they'd rather get the fees than have it go to someone else if they have already been working with you.
  2. Hey peeps. Anyone have advice for scars or preventing keloids?
  3. It sounds crazy but try googling acid reflux and magnets.
  4. Had surgery 8 days ago. Didn't even tell my mom. I felt bad at first but I needed to do this for me without anyone else's anxiety. I'm grown and this is my business. I'm sorry that happened to you.
  5. I'm 8 days post op and will say not as painful as I expected. You will have a pain pump and I used mine liberally. I had surgery on Thursday and was back at my desk job Tuesday. The initial pain is really the gas.
  6. There are a lot of us band to sleeve revision folks here. I love my sleeve. While the band is removeable the damage that it can do to your body through no fault of your own can be irreversible and will place you in a higher risk category if/when another surgery is needed. I will also say that with my band I was always hungry and throwing up, not the case with my sleeve.
  7. Try some fat free Campbell's cream of chicken, broccoli cheese, or cream of mushroom. I'm May 16. This phase is really hard because hunger and cravings are starting ti return a little bit. My doc also allows hummus, thinned hot cereal, and cauliflower pureed w skim milk now. You need to have a way to satisfy your requirements with some variety. And I know panera is nice but that just seems like torture! What about a library? I'm sorry you're feeling bad. This will pass.
  8. Got sprung in time for sons bball game yesterday and worked half day today. Feeling good!
  9. I was also sleeved same day and had a leak scare. Try not to go there its not worth it. Having lots of trouble figuring out this hungry vs full thing.
  10. Sleeved by Dr Krause at beaumont hospital on Thursday May 16. Back at work tidY and feeling good. Great experience.
  11. My doc gives me b12 in a shot. Says much more effective that way. I also had b1/thiamine deficiency that caused a lot of fatigue and stalls.in weight loss.
  12. When they did the barium swallow they thought they something trickling out. But when they went back in to take.a look it is.just small pooling area from lap band causing out pouching. They have a drain in me now just to be sure.
  13. I am still I'm hospital. Suspected leak but second surgery did not disclose a leak. Just keeping me for observation now I think. No real pain.
  14. Good luck today everyone! See you on the loser's side.
  15. I am May 16 too! 9 a.m. tomorrow!
  16. I just had some of the crystal sky and it was very good. It turns a blue color but is clear not milky.
  17. I'm so sorry. I am still pre-op but have seen others here post about a claw closure instead of the stents. They are supposed to be more comfortable at least.
  18. I wonder if anyone who is criticizing knows anything about this op other than the amount of weight she wanted to lose. Perhaps she is a revision or had commorbidities or like all of us has tried everything else. When I began this process I was not that overweight either but it was continuing to go up not down and I was borderline prediabetic. I watched diabetes ravage my mil until it killed her and it is doing the same thing to my dad. I wasn't going to sit around and wait for that to happen to me. Double masectomies are not considered preventative medicine either.generally but Jolie just reduced her risk of breast cancer by 80%! Kudos to this op for taking control of her health and her life.
