  1. Are you talking blood pressure meds? I feel the same way and I think I need an adjustment in my medication.
  2. I know the feeling. 11 days post op. I gave in around 9 days and nutritionist told me I could have eggs. Was the best thing ever!
  3. I lost 19 my first week!
  4. I was sleeved on the 11th. I am craving all kinds of good foods. I think this is the funeral process. We can have it in due time but in smaller portions I ate baked potato soup from McCalisters and had a tiny bite of meatloaf. So delicious. I'm down 21 pounds.
  5. I am fearful too I check my legs all day every day and went to the ER Monday for shortness of breath a lot was because of the young man that passed away on the forum. So far so good. The nurses in the hospital gave me compression hoses. Thanks for all the info. I think it's most important to be aware than anything. Good luck to all!
  6. luckysmomma I totally understand, that good ol' comfort food

Yes go back to the basics a day of clear liquids, full liquids, puree and then soft foods. Good luck
  9. You may need to try a new medicine. Prevacid works best for me and I take gas-x throughout the day. Today was the first day I was hungry in a while and I don't experience head hunger, I am thankful for that!
  10. luckysmomma, I can't stand the drinks either and I'm tired of spending money buying different brands. I've kinda given up on them. One thing I can force down is the Gladiator smoothie at Smoothie King it has 45 grams of protein and you can pick your own two fruits and flavor protein powder. When can you switch to purees or soft foods?
  11. There are moments that I am freezing and then I am burning up. I think it's my hormones!
  12. I regret it today, but I would do it all over again. Today has just been a difficult day for me dealing with my food addiction, but I know overall I will beat this!
  13. I would go, after 6 weeks you should be good to go. I personally would go and enjoy yourself!
  14. send me a request by email, tnhamil@hotmail.com
  15. I'm like you. I started research many years ago. I also went for my first consult in July 2012. I am currently 9 days post op. I am having problems getting in fluids and am tired of the same foods right now but I know it will be better. I don't regret it at all. I've lost 20 pounds in a week. I was scared of the bypass because they would mess with my intestines and I wanted the least amount of complications possible. Good luck to you on your journey.
  16. So glad it was caught in time
  17. My doctor actually put me on Prevacid. It really helps. I am also very lactose intolerant. I use lactaid milk too!
  18. Thank you, livingmylife12!
  19. I am the same way. I have not been getting in all my liquids or proteins. Its a daily struggle. We can do it!
  20. Houston17, they didn't say it was dehydration. Basically I was doing too much. I was feeling great after surgery and wasn't giving my body the time it needs to heal. I have two young kids and was up and at it! Thank you all so much it means so much to have the support of you all.
  21. Thanks for all the prayers. There is no blood clot. I got a banana bag full of vitamins and fluids and ill be going home shortly.
  22. Had VSG 1 week ago today. I was really weak yesterday and had some shortness of breath so I called my Dr. this morning and he sent me to the ER. Having tests done and waiting on answers. They want to rule out any chance at blood clots. Keep me in prayer. Better safe than sorry.
  23. Hopefully this will open everyone's eyes to the complications and also signs to look for as far as blood clots. It makes me incredibly nervous and scared but my surgery has been done, now I am Very aware…. RIP
