  1. Can I just say that I LOVE this program!! My weight was at a stand still for about 1-2 months, or so it felt, and since I have started C25K the weight seems to just be falling off!! I just started week 4 yesterday and am down 7lbs. That may not seem like a lot in 4 weeks, but this is the only change that I have made and honestly it wasn't until this week that it really got challenging. So for anyone who needs a little boost in their weight loss I highly recommend this! Let me just say for the record I am NOT a runner! Never have been. I LOVE playing softball, LOVE it, but learned early the harder I hit the ball the slower I could run. Plus you get to run a few feet and then take a break, who wouldn't love that, right? I wouldn't even play fast pitch in high school, just stuck to my slow pitch summer league because in high school they made you run, blah! People always say, "I love running...It helps me think and clear my mind"...my thought, "I cant think about anything aside from the fact that my big a** is running, lol". However, this program has helped me learn to semi enjoy it. It builds you up slowly, you can go at your own pace/speed and before you know it the pounds are falling off and you are running for 5 mins straight
  2. I think I just added you! Sry - I didn't see your earlier posts. For some reason I am not getting alerts when people comment on threads I'm involved in. If anyone would like to add me I would love more teammates. My name is Jami Menke or email is jami44@me.com.
  3. It is a wrist band that you wear that monitors your steps, activities and sleeping patterns. You download the info to an app on your phone. You can also use the app to track you food. It allows you to team up with other people who have the band to encourage and cheer each other on. Attached is the link to their website. They can be purchased online or at Bestbuy. http://jawbone.com/u...CFcyY4AodJg4A5wn.
  4. I have one and I love it! My email is jami44@me.com if you want to be teammates that would be awesome.
  5. Thanks Everyone!! Just goes to show the power of working out...and a million squats
  6. YAY! Good job my friend!
  7. A slow process, but a good one
  8. Love this! One of the best posts I have seen. Thanks for sharing!
  9. What do you mean you can only take in 20g's? Can you be more specific. One protein shake generally has more than 20g's...
  10. I understand your frustration! This is not an easy process, especially if you don't have a good support team. I may have missed something, but why is your band empty?
  11. Thanks everyone! It's a great feeling!!!
  12. Stepped on the scale this morning and about fell off!! On Cloud Nine :D
  13. Let me just start by saying that I was banded 2/6/13 and had my first stuck episode yesterday. Ugh, no fun! Anyway - for lunch, around noon today, I had a really dry piece of chicken. Every since I have felt like it is just chilling there in my esophagus, ya know, just hanging out. It's different than what I experienced yesterday, as that stuff was coming back up. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions for getting it to move along??
  14. Well had my first appointment with Dr Curry @ the Cincinnati office. Everyone was great! Apparently I had a 4cc primer put in at the time of surgery and I had a 0.5cc from my old Dr last week. Dr. Curry gave me a 3cc fill today under Fluro giving me a total of 7.5cc in my 14cc band!
  15. Awesome Job! Keep up the good work!
  16. I understand all of that. Just asking more for curiosity sake.
  17. I know everyone is different....I was just wondering what the average is for a first fill?
  18. Yes - I had sent her a PM and her response was also verbatim to yours, lol. She is the one who told me to get with you since you we're a more recent patient of his. They said my first consultation would be in Cincinnati because he would want to see the band under fluoro. After I would continue my treatment at the Dayton locations as I work in Dayton. I found another place I like as well, but they are only located in Cincinnati so I think this may be a better option for me. Thanks so much for the info. Makes me feel much better
  19. Yeah - there is one other doctor I believe. I was also kind of upset with the nurse as well. She kept talking about how she doesn't like the band because there is so much contradicting information out there, which I agree with, but I think there are other ways to go about that conversation. But to continually tell me how much she doesn't like the band I could have done with out. I called a couple places today and only actually got a hold of one. They told me if I was a yr out they would take me. I guess worst case I wait a yr. Another thing that upsets me is my fills were free for the first 90 days post op. Now I have to pay a $40 copay every time. I don't have $40 and an endless amount of time off work just to be told no. Ugh!!
  20. Never mind! After watching the video, thanks JACKIEO85, that is not what I thought it was.
  21. That is what I was thinking it was, but I guess I thought that was standard with Lapband Surgery? No?
  22. I hate to switch, but I really don't know what else to do. I am not happy with my current doctor. He always seems to rush me out and doesn't listen to me only looks at the number on the scale. He refuses to give me fills, says I am doing ok on my own. I have lost 30lbs, but I also work out 7-9 times a week. 4-5 with a personal trainer. I was doing ok until about 3 weeks ago. I was ok with not getting a fill the first time. However, the last 3 week I have been starving and eating way more than I should. He said that a fill would not help my hunger. Really?!? It did the first 2 1/2 months. So then what is the point in the band? I don't care to do the exercise and I can appreciate that I am experience what most are calling "banster hell" but I will never get to the green zone and out of banster hell if my doctor refuses to give me fills. I didnt pay $3,000.00 to "do it on my own"
  23. Has anyone done this and is it a hard process?
