Thats great news! I was banded on the 9th and still have minor port pain . I am down 30lbs since I started the pre op diet and am looking forward to the mushy food stage Saturday! ! Any good recipes anyone would like to share?

Ok so surgy went well... I have very minor shoulder pain and stomach pain! They are working on releasing me this morning ....

My surgery is in two days!!!! I'm so scared- it didnt hit until my friend mentioned it to me- TWO days!!!!! My sugars are still level, I get to do my zumba class one last time tomorrow and heading out to a Yankee game after work on Tuesday! Guys!!! I'm scared, especially bc my boyfriend won't be there :-/ he has work and I can't ask for him to take off bc he just started this new job. I have my box of tissues ready. How is everyone else coping? Or coped with having surgery for that matter!

So 3 weeks ago I started my diet for my surgery this Friday I have lost 15 lbs. not too bad.

I am doing great! My stomach just feels like I did to many crunches I was so afraid of taking my first sip of Water but it doesn't feel any different then normal. I am so excited now that I know what it feels like to drink... That was my biggest fear

I had my 2 wk appointment today. So far I've lost 16 lbs. Ill go back in may and they will decide if I need a fill or not. Pretty happy with my weight loss so far

OMG! My day is finally here!! Being banded today! Here we go!!!!!

Today marks one week until I have my surgery This time next week I will be sitting in preop holding with the net on my hair getting ready to be wheeled back This has been such a long time coming and I am so excited (if you can't already tell). On my way now for my preop testing

Banded this morning! Dr says it went great. I am hurting, but so happy. I feel full of hope & power. I know that probably sounds weird, but it is how I feel.

I am so much better today and finally I am able to expel the gas which let me tell you I have never been so happy to fart in my entire life, Lol. Thankfully here that doesn't offend anyone. I have noticed that I am not hungry and its hard to drink the shakes I have to sip them all day long. I can feel when my pouch is full. I know it's because everything is still swollen and soon that will go away but I am exhausted. Is it normal to feel this tired??? Will it be this way the whole three weeks I am on liquid?

The chewable was fine for me, I never saw a liquid.

So sleepy, pain in my left shoulder, sore throat from tube...other than that all is well. Looking forward to this new life!!

I can finally post in the "POST OP" surgery section because I MADE IT!!! Just got home from surgery a couple hours ago!
I got to the hospital super early 6AM, I couldn't have gotten there about 7:30 or 8, but irrelevant. I registered, got in my room, nurse came and gave my IV. I was able to watch TV and talk with my family for a while. About 9AM they rolled me down to pre-op. I met with my OR nurses, surgeon and CRNA. Everyone was so nice and helpful. I rolled into the OR about 9:45ish. The surgeon went and talked to my mom and said the procedure took about 43mins. CRAZY. I received some dilaudid in post-op and it SO helped with the pain. I didn't and still don't feel that gas feeling...Will it come later?! After I got to my recovery room, I had some juice, ice chips, went to the bathroom and then was ready to go home! I was out of there by 1:00PM! I am home now and resting comfy on my recliner. I have been drinking gatorade and ready to try some Soup. I was a lil nauseated in the hospital but that has gone away and I actually have kind of an appetite. I will be on a liquid diet for the next week and will do a follow-up next Tuesday!
I really psyched myself up for the WORST! Pain, nausea...all that. I really feel great and just sore. I am SO happy I have done this. Can't wait to heal and focus on my weight loss! LOVE YOU ALLL for being so supportive. I can't wait to share more with you as it comes! I hope sharing this part will help someone who has anxiety like I did!
Time to enjoy some shows, soup and this CRAZY warm, stormy Chicago weather!!

Thanks !! how long have you had the band ?? im just going threw the last part of the pre-op and its looking like surgery in March !! Any other words of advise ??
