  1. thanks everyone. well I still have my boys here, 14 and 15 and our two dogs and two cats, so I'm sure I will have plenty of excitement here. I have been ok until today when I got home from work and she was out with friends. I walked in her room and saw all the stuff packed and just started crying.. I know she will be home often. :-)
  2. I am a wreck... my daughter is leaving for college on Friday. its only two hours away, but I can't stand seeing all her stuff getting packed up. how have others dealt with this??
  3. mine is like what guy described, lots of extra saliva and its not really vomit, just comes back up.. then im fine. only happened 3 times so far and all because I ate too fast. I am learning to slow down.
  4. only my husband knows... and of course all of you :-)
  5. I was quickly on the way out of the house with my husband and son... my other son was sitting there eating Chinese, so what do I do? I grab a too big piece of chicken with my fingers and eat it way too fast while walking to the car. almost instantly I knew I was stuck. we pulled over and I had alot of slime, then finally spit up the chicken. uggg... good reminder though. im glad it wasn't stuck longer. :-(
  6. I just had my first fill last week, 9 weeks post op. I can definitely tell a difference now. my weight loss was stalled for about three weeks before. my doc was on vacation..
  7. great question.. I just got my first fill last Wed. I would like to know the answer too... I definitely feel my band tighter now.
  8. I know what you mean.. I was stuck for a few weeks too.. but now its moving down again.. so frustrating. I'm glad you got the scale moving again.
  9. I'm done with the fill. not bad at all..
  10. I have my dr appt today. I am assuming I will get my first fill. Im 9 weeks post op. for some reason, I am so nervous.. don't know why but I am. from what I read here, its no big deal.
  11. wow! very inspirational...
  12. my husband knows about this forum, but doesn't ever have the desire to come on and read... he never has been one to talk on forums, etc.. if I have a question or something he suggests that I ask the people on here.
  13. sounds good. my son loves that ice drink
  14. that's awesome!
  15. mine is a little on the left side.. for a few weeks after surgery I had to lay/sleep on my right side or back. but now I can lay anyway, even on my stomach. sometimes I feel the port and sometimes not.
  16. lol.. my husband did the same for me. I think he bought about 10 different flavors of yogurt... :-)
  17. Peanut Butter is great! carolinagirl.. I thought I was the only one who didn't like yogurt. I have tried to like it, but yuck...
  18. I was bloated off and on for almost a month after. it will go away :-)
  19. I probably didn't chew well enough, but still.. I doubt I will take the chance again. just a good reminder that my band is really in there. :-)
  20. I remembered this conversation as soon as I spit up the first bit.. yuck!
  21. this happened to me tonight.. not deli Turkey, but deli roast beef... nope.. never again.. I started hurting real bad in my chest, then it just felt like the food wouldn't go down or come up. mucus started forming and I went in the bathroom, and finally, out came the roast beef. well, now I know what it feels like to be stuck! thank goodness I was at home and it didn't last long!
  22. it hurt to lay on my side at first. so for a week or so I laid on my back or sat back in the recliner
  23. that liquid cherry at cvs is yucky.. tastes like Nyquil or cough syrup. but that's the only flavor I found.
