  1. Couldn't be worse than what I've spent so far and completely wasted.
  2. I absolutely can't find a Protein I like or that doesn't make me yucky from the awful taste.... I've tried... Isopure-mango peach, alpine punch, grape frost by theirselves or mixed with Water Premier Protein Pure protein Ensure high protein Atkins whey protein from Walmart Body fortress Lean shakes Wheybolic60 Muscle milk Nitrotech A couple others from Walmart What am I going to do? I'm still on soft foods due to a complication so at this point I have to use supplements. I keep thinking what am I going to do? I'm so struggling. Oh and before surgery I was tolerating these fine. It's just been since surgery I'm so turned off.
  3. My BMI was about 38. My doctor said I wasn't high risk so he wasn't going to prescribe them to me. However I had an uncle who had gastric bypass and died from a blood lot two weeks later so I asked for them and he gave them to me to ease my worries. My point is you are probably low risk and it would be ok if you're comfortable. When in doubt always ask your doctor. There may be other factors besides BMI that contribute to the need for the shots. Good luck.
  4. There is some kind of crust less pizza where cheese is the crust but I don't know the recipe. Maybe someone else will reply because I'd like to have it too. I miss my pizza.
  5. Not exactly any relief yet. Before the dilation I could drink liquids but no foods. Liquids hurt somewhat but foods killed me. My chest would hurt so bad or I would throw up. I spent four miserable days like that before I called my doctor. By the time I got to hospital I was dehydrated and low in potassium. After dilation, he started me over on Clear Liquids again and I started full liquids Friday. Hopefully tomorrow I can try some soft foods. My doctor said it's caused from scar tissue that forms where your stomach connects to small intestine.
  6. Right here with you. I was a little over 3 weeks when I closed up. Had the EGD with dilation last Tuesday. I go back to doctor tomorrow to see if I can start on soft foods yet. Good luck. Pm me or ask here if you have any questions.
  7. So sorry Kat praying for you.
  8. Same problem here at 4 weeks. I threw up for 4 days. By the time I called my doctor and went in I was dehydrated and low on potassium. I also had a stricture. They dilated me as well and I'm keeping down full liquids. My doctor scolded me for not calling sooner. Don't make that mistake.
  9. A big motivator for me are the horror stories of complications people have because they didn't follow doctor's orders. Michele is right the risk is DEATH!!! Death is final and it's definitely not worth pizza. I feel your pain. I LOVE pizza and lived on it before surgery. Now I'm not eating it not only because it's an unhealthy choice but also because my doctor told me how it could tear a hole in my pouch and the consequences are deadly. I don't think surgery was a mistake for you but perhaps you weren't ready mentally. That doesn't mean all hope is lost. Read some self help books about eating, see a counselor, pray about it and come on this site for support. We are all going through it with you and will tell you the truth even when it hurts because we want you to succeed and live a longer happier life. God bless you. I will be praying for you. We can all get through this together.
  10. Mine had a dent as well. I hurt for 3 weeks and 4 days. It was like instantly. I got up that morning and it didn't hurt so I thought it would start up later but it never did. I was so miserable and scared I would hurt like that forever. Now I'm fine. No pain.
  11. I'm in Texas too a couple hours northeast of Dallas.
  12. I'm not but that's because I can't eat food yet. I had a stricture and back to basics
  13. Couldn't you drink 1/2 the shake and the other half later? I would love to be able to drink 6 ounces in the morning and then 6 ounces in the afternoon and know my protein was done for the day.
  14. Don't worry when I had surgery I went in at 237 came home at 250.4. One month post op I went back in hospital bc of stricture in at 216 came home 221. It's been 4 days and I'm down to 213. It comes off. Don't worry be happy.
  15. WTG!!! You look awesome. Congratulations!!!
  16. I guess every doctor is different. I was told crush all meds until 6 weeks.
  17. I crushed 3 Benadryl one night lol. My friend at work was like how are you functioning... I guess it was me trying to come off the Loritab. Good luck to you tonight.
  18. I definitely don't think you are alone. I have lost and gained 70 lbs time and time again. So for me I have no doubt I'm going to lose weight with this but in the back of my mind I'm always thinking if I will gain it back. We should just use it for what it is a "tool" and learn the real way to lose weight change our habits and keep it that way for life. Good luck!!! We can do this!!!!
  19. I think if the protein is high and the carbs are low it is good. The only thing is it's usually not on the list of ok foods until about 6-8 weeks out. Chew chew chew
  20. I thought something was wrong with me. I was two days shy of 4 weeks post op before my left side quit hurting. I just woke up that morning and the pain was gone. I was starting to feel like a wimp bc everyone else seems fine after a week but I finally figured out I can't compare myself to others. I was hurting and they weren't but it didn't matter about everyone else. It mattered that I was hurting. I took pain meds at night only for over 3 weeks and I needed it. Some people don't I'm happy for them but I needed it. Good luck to you. I hope the pain subsides soon.
  21. I had the same issue. I took Benadryl for like 3 days after I got off pain meds just to help me sleep then I quit that. Now I sleep fine at night.
