  1. That's exactly what I feel. I am hungry but there's nothing I WANT to eat I wish I had your positive attitude about it getting better.
  2. I had staples on the outside of my stomach in each of my 6 incisions. They were removed at my 2 week post op appt. it's the big stitch on the inside of my left side where most of the work was done that he said is giving me the most trouble. I just tried a piece of thinly sliced deli turkey with cheese and it got stuck. Oh what a horrible pain in my chest. I think I may be eating too fast but I'm chewing the heck out if it and its such a small amount. I just feel hopeless.
  3. I hope you are right. I am miserable. What are you eating?
  4. I had surgery 1/25/13. I have had major pain in my left side that doctor says is the muscle he cut and the big stitch that will dissolve in 4-6 weeks. Up until now I haven't really been "hungry". I drink my Protein or at least try to and my Water but struggle getting it all in. I've been tired and nauseated a lot. But now I'm just hungry feeling like I just want to chew something but the few things I've tried aren't sitting well all of the sudden. Like I ate Hormel turkey chili the other day and it was fine but today it got stuck. I only ate 1/8 of a cup and I ate super slow like took 30 minutes. I'm starting to get depressed thinking I will never be able to eat again. I don't want to pig out I just want to be able to enjoy 1/8 cup of something.
  5. When I have a headache I have found the best way for me to get it down. I crush the Tylenol and put it in a spoon. I get a sip of sugar free Hawaiian punch tilt my head back open my mouth and put the Tylenol in. I swallow before I ever raise my head back up. I never touch my mouth to the spoon. I barely taste it and then I just continue sipping. It may seem stupid but has really helped me.
  6. Wonderful!!!! I ate half of an egg and it was absolutely delicious!!!
  7. I have to say that 5 months ago I started this journey. Originally I was going to get the sleeve but changed because of acid reflux issues. I was on vertical sleeve talk and daily there were horrific mean arguing threads/posts of one side attacking the other and it was very negative and I hated it. Then when I switched to RNY I started using the RNY talk and it is such a different atmosphere. Everyone was so positive and encouraging and kind to each other. I even made a post about the difference between VST & RNY. Now it seems that harsh negative fighting has seeped over to RNY. Let's try to remember why we are all here - to get support and knowledge and to give support and knowledge. Occasionally some of us may need a shake to remind us not to freak out but getting mad about it isn't the answer either. Can't we all just get along? Agree to disagree? I'm here because I need friends going through the same thing. I want to know that I'm not the only one who feels down or upset or happy or whatever. I want a place to share things things with. I thought that's what the forum was for.
  8. I hope we both get to feeling better and back to normal soon.
  9. I'm sure it's possible but I'm currently suffering from a pulled muscle on my left side and it hurts badly. I overdid it the other day doing laundry bending over and picking up the basket and what not. What if you just sit and let your daughter come sit in your lap?
  10. I did not have any tubes and I'm so thankful. That would have freaked me out!!!
  11. Doctor thinks it's a strained muscle. Poked and prodded on my tummy and back and made me do some leg lifts and all signs point to pulled/strained muscle. He called me in some more pain meds to take at night and told me to call back if not better in 3-4 days.
  12. Doctor is calling me in some zofran and told me slow down on my protein shakes. He said I don't need to consume more than 6-7 ounces in an hour of any liquid If I don't feel better in 3-4 days I have to go back.
  13. Yeah it's iPhone. There are lots of things I can't do from my iPhone that I can from my laptop.
  14. One thing I can handle without problem is a sf Popsicle.
  15. I don't know but I had surgery 1/25 and I'm losing very slowly so I feel your pain. I've always been a fast loser so I don't know what is up. Good luck to you. Sorry
  16. This morning I weighed 227. The day of surgery I weighed 237 gained up to 250 in hospital. So basically in two weeks I've only lost 10 lbs or do I say 23? Anyway seems really slow to only lose 10 lbs in first two weeks. I did that before without surgery. It's so hard not to be discouraged or regretful and then add to it my constant nausea and horrific pain in my left side/back I'm really starting to wonder why the heck I did this. Somebody please remind me.
  17. I believe it is reversible technically but very complicated and rarely done. From what I understand you will not ever be EXACTLY the way you were before. I am suffering from the same stuff. I thought I was prepared but nothing prepares you for this. It's very tough. I will pray for you tonight.
  18. I gained 13 lbs (237 to 250.) it took me a week to lose it all.
