  1. As in previous post. When something gets stuck you produce loads if slime which you (I) spit out Pb'ing in short for productive burp. When things have to come back up. Not like being sick as its not passed through band. Bit like regurgitating.
  2. Stupid question maybe! When you guys say a cup do you cut the food up to measure in the cup?
  3. All docs are different. I'm allowed mushies straight after so would have thought soup fine x
  4. I've added some of you guys if that's ok xx
  5. Hi guys. I was banded in September 12 I'm down 2lb but been stuck for a while :0(. Friends on MFP would be great I'm mummajuju x please add me if u can x

  7. If keep an eye on it. If it feels warm to the touch or you get a fever call them ASAP.
  8. Heat pads. Peppermint tea, walking and swinging your arms about may help.
  9. It could be trapped gas. It travels around after surgery trying to escape. It usually goes to the shoulders but I've heard people say they've had in their back. Try heat pads and peppermint tea. Just be careful that your not dehydrated a little as this gives me a dull ache around my kidney area. I drink 2ltrs of Water a day now. Good luck
  10. First thing I have a glass of warm boiled water with half a lemon squeezed in. It's good for you and helps with the eating half an hour later its like lubricating it all up ready lol.
  11. For my lunch yesterday I had a pouch of mussels with a white wine and garlic sauce. I was amazed at protein content. Less than 200 calories and just over 20g of protein. Delish
  12. It is so frustrating, even hearing others in same boat just doesn't stop that frustration. First thing on my mind when I wake up is. 'I wonder if the scales will move'. I'm 200.2lb lost 42 since surgery in September. I cannot get in the 100's I was on 1000 calories a day and have upped it to 1200 but so far it's not made a difference and even though I am good at portion control the extra 200 make me feel piggish :0(. I know I have to and will stick in there but it is sooooo annoying. If any of you guys use MfP I'd live you to add me Mummajuju Xxx good luck xx

  15. I too was starving day 2 onwards post op. I was not expecting it at all! I thought I would only have head hunger not full on growls and hunger pains. I enjoyed lots of Bovril (beef extract) drinks and (strained) soups are a little thicker along with slim fast drinks. It did stop on about day 5/6 then all I had was 'head hunger' which I think is a lot harder to get over and suggest trying to keep yourself busy busy busy x

  17. My last fill was .5 and I thought 'what a waste if time' such a small amount. Boy I was wrong. Made a huge difference!
  18. I was having proems with breakfast too. I'm told I must have my breakfast to kick start the metabolism etc. my saving grace has been having a cup of warm boiled water with a squeeze if lemon juice n then half an hour later the food goes down! It's good for weight loss to apparent. I presume we're a little swollen first thing. Try it. May help you too x
  19. I'm wondering now if I'm taking enough reading how much you guys are on!
