One week post-op, back pain?

I was banded on the 16th, and so far so good! Today I have started to get some discomfort in my mid back. Just wondering if this is normal, and if anyone else has experienced the same. Thanks!

It could be trapped gas. It travels around after surgery trying to escape. It usually goes to the shoulders but I've heard people say they've had in their back. Try heat pads and peppermint tea.

Just be careful that your not dehydrated a little as this gives me a dull ache around my kidney area. I drink 2ltrs of Water a day now. Good luck

I'm more than five weeks out and have middle back pain. I keep thinking it's gas but I'm having it often enough that in calling doctor on Monday. If its something other than gas, I'll post.

Good luck to you in finding relief.

It is definitely trapped gas. I used to use my heating pad on my back too!
