  2. I'm so sorry Debbie...is it incision pain or gas in the shoulder/rib area? I would definitely call your doctor tomorrow and explain your pain to be on the safe side...best wishes..
  3. Great to hear...happy for you!
  4. My doc didn't have me do a pre op diet at all...and I'm doing great. Hang in there and don't stress too much about it. Good luck with your surgery!
  5. I feel your pain..mine started 2 days before surgery! Rest up and be well!
  6. My girls are playing Just Dance 4 and I want to join in so bad...not sure my stitches would appreciate it.....Hope everyone is having a great Christmas!
  7. Helen..I know too much restriction can cause reflux and you mentioned it started when you had our fill, my doc told me about it because I had reflux prior to surgery....please talk to your doctor about it, I'm sure he/she will be able to correct it...best of luck..
  8. I stayed the same weight throughout my 6 month supervised diet, so losing is not necessary..it's the documentation that is necessary...have you visited a weightloss surgery center?....they are the ones that told me what I needed to do in the beginning and they were the ones that requested Tricare for my surgery...I wish I could help you more..
  9. I was very nervous too but I'm so glad I went through with it, even at my early stage...Yes you do have a lot to get accomplished ..bless your heart! I would also recommend getting some Miralax...constipation is no fun. Good luck with both your dental work and the surgery...keep us updated!
  10. Triwest is just the region of the States that I live in...there is Trinorth, Trisouth and overseas too...Tricare Prime is the actual insurance!
  11. my must have thing was my heating pad...it was a godsend for the shoulder pain...Best of luck on the 28th!

  13. Be sure to get a heating pad...mine was a life saver!
  14. I'm so sorry Banjo..I hope now you are feeling better and best wishes!
  15. My doc said Miralax is okay to use because it's gentle and doesn't have harsh side effects...so that's what I use and I'm doing good...best wishes!
  16. The change in my taste buds is driving me nuts!! I can't stand anything sweet and my coffee is gross....anyone else's taste buds acting weird?
  17. I started to get hungry at 4 days post op, my doc said that when the swelling around the band starts to go down, hunger will return...so I think it's normal.....I wish you well!
  18. I have a little nausea on some evenings...I'm sure it's normal and your band is where it should be....I hope it goes away for you so you can stop worrying, I'm a worrier too
  19. I was banded on the 17th...so 4 days post...feeling good finally..my doc recommended motrin for the gas pain in my shoulder and it's working for me......I'm finally able to drink more than a few sips at a time....Hope everyone is doing good
  20. Saw my Doc yesterday and he said to try Motrin for the Gas pain... it worked for me, I feel so much better now... Hope everyone is doing well
  21. Glad to hear you feel awesome! I'm good apart from the shoulder pain that's still kicking my butt..
  22. Hey! I'm in Vegas too! Had my surgery yesterday..different doctor than you though...Nice to "meet" you too!
  23. Almost 12 hours post-op....no incision pain just a slight sore throat and gas pain in my back, side and shoulder, all on one side! Heating pad, gas-x strips and liquid loratab. If you don't have a heating pad I would recommend getting one before your surgery..mine is a godsend....No desire to eat or drink, so I have to make myself sip protein water. Hoping tomorrow is better pain wise but I am finding the pain manageable...Good vibes to all up coming banders and healing wishes for the recently banded!
  24. Hoping tomorrow is a better day for you
