  1. Does anyone feel sick after they eat? Not right after but like an hour or two i start to feel really nauseous and can barely handle it. I dont think I am hungry because most of my meals are high in protein and I am trying to drink my water. Any thoughts???
  2. Welcome!! Welcome!!! I am very excited for you!!! And wanted to let you know that I also come from a large family and food was also a very important thing in my house. I got banded on 12/14/12 and was very scared about the holiday. Everywhere I looked there was food!!! But I was mostly not tempted . I think that something that helped is that I talked myself down when I really wanted something. I asked myself if this food was worth all the money that I just paid to have this surgery and it isn't. And if I couldnt convince myself that it was not worth it I had A TASTE. Not a bite. My husband had some guacamolie that I wanted to have (its a personal fave) and i dipped the tip of my pinkie in it and it was glorious but that is all I need now. Remember, you can do this because you are amazing!!!!
  3. The cauliflower crust is easy. You rice (shred) 2 cups of cauliflower and steam it in the microwave. Drain any remaining Water and pat dry. Then put 1 egg for every cup of cauliflower (if you use 3 cups for a bigger family dinner then use 3 eggs) and any seasonings. Put in a glass pan and cook on 375 for 10-12 minutes. The crust will be firm and act just like normal pizza crust. Then add your toppings and broil for 3-5 minutes to cook cheese. This is a family favorite and once I am able to eat solid food again I will have it
  4.    lifewillbegood reacted to a post in a topic: Gas pain everytime i drink my shakes
  5. Well good luck!! I know how much it can suck to hurt all the time!!!
  6. I was having a hard time with the shakes causing me gas so I switched the shake and I am fine now. Maybe you just need to change out your shakes. I was on pure protein but now am on designer whey (flavorless). I put it in everything!!!
  7. I am 5 days post op and have been having very bad reactions to dairy as well. It is causing very bad gas. I think this is so strange cause I was fine before surgery...
