I'm glad u r counting down too because I am too! I have my pre op appointment on Feb 20 and then I start my 2 week liquid diet. Very excited!! 27 days till surgery!!! I sort of wish i had a nutrition class with my group but I do have access to a nutritionist anytime I want to talk to her and an exercise physiologist too. But either way....ssssssoooooooooo ready to start with my new day 1

38 days now. Just went through the nutrition class today. Only thing left is pre op testing an psych eval. Had primary Dr appt today. He's ready to sign off feb 27th. Getting nervous. More so about the food change than the surgery. Most of my life till now has revolved around food. It's going to be more of a lifestyle change than anything.

Wow....she sounds like a hot mess....lol I know my step mom is gonna Be the same way. She was a beauty pageant contestant in the 60's so u can imagine....blah blah blah shut up lady.

I'm super pumped just read through a post op post about "what size r u now" and it just made me so excited!!! I'm more focused than ever now to keep pushing sugars out of my diet though lol that's for sure...the less dependency I have I sugar come March 6th, the better I am gonna be in the long run...

I'm up Monday as well.....has this date set for 6 months! Can't believe I'm almost there!!!!!

Excited for you MarinaCC!!! Im really happy that I found this forum...I felt like I was alone in this because i don't know anyone who has had WLS so knowing that we are all out there getting this done...makes me so ready and excited for this

March 25th is my date!! Can't wait. Feb 20 I meet with the anesthesiologist, start Optifast March 4th. So nervousness and excited!! :-D

Waiting upon my doctor for my second appt this week to finally get a surgery date/approval. Workup is done and waiting is killing me. We are anticipating a March date. . So excited!

I am excited. Not really nervous so far. I am looking forward to the changes to come :-)

We did the same thing with January!!! It'll drive ya crazy! Then you get to start starving yourself and realize this shit is REALLY HAPPENING'!!!!!!! Then it just gets crazy be strong! It'll be here soon!!!

It seems to me that you already know the why you don't want to tell. Until your ready it is totally your choice to not give personal information to those who it doesn't belong to. So simply say: I'll be off for a few weeks, to take care of personal matters." And if someone presses just say, " I love(like, care, whatever but I'd prefer not to discuss it."

My wonderful husband just gave me my birthday present 3 days early because he couldn't wait. The man got me a new vitamix!! Crazy boy. That thing is cool. We are both pre-op and he got it for our journey and to help me continue to love cooking even post-op. He also got me a cool new scale (which I asked for.). Nice birthday!

I just bought the Unjury sample pack for right after my surgery. I've heard it's pretty palatable. My dr. also allows Atkins shakes afterward but no other pre-made shakes.
My dr requires 3 days pre-op liquid diet. My surgery is 7 weeks from today, seems like forever. I'm SO ready to get a move on!!

I'm kind of a hard a$$ so I would say "get on board this train or get run over by it...those are the 2 choices" don't let his indecision and insecurities mess with you. You need to be sure of what you are doing and who you are doing it for.
