I've tried a million ways to loose weight only to gain back what I've lost and more. I finally decided (after much debate and research) that the lap band seemed like the right choice for me. As a nurse I'm very aware of what I've done to my body and what outcome I can expect from carrying so much weight for so long. I went through all the hoops and on November 23, 2010 I had the surgery with good results. Pain wasn't bad and I was back doing what I normally do within 3-4 weeks. I did have a bit of an issue when the port moved and they had to go back in and correct that about 6 months later but I didn't think that was so bad either. I've lost 69 lbs so far with a fair amount left to loose and I couldn't be happier. I would absolutely do it all over again.+
