Thanks Everyone who has replied, it looks like I am not the only person here who is happy with their band surgeon It is so great to read just how many of you are truly happy with your surgeon , Mexico or U.S. Nykee I feel the same way about Dr. Ortiz...I'm so glad I'm not alone

Hey Everyone I was just doing some thinking and I was wondering, Honestly how many of you here are very happy and very satisfied with your "original" band surgeon and are satisfied with his or hers abilities and aftercare? Whether you went to Mexico or not

Yes Alex there is some Protein in the Peanut Butter if that makes you feel better Not much but some, hey every little bit counts right? Good attitude you have though. It's not like that little chocolate feat will put back all you weight you have lost. Don't sweat the small stuff! We all have days like this Chocolate is my biggest weakness

Paul I have heard from others who had erosion do get another band after about 6 months wait, and other's don not. I have a firend fright now who had her bandfor a year and a half and had erosion she is now waiting 6 months and her doctor will give her another band. I think it depends on each individual and their circumstances. I know of another woman who had 2 bnands erode so she will never be able to get another one

Oh Paula Im so sorry you had such a bad night, sounds like it could befrom the tabasco, I can not eat spicy foods like I did pre band, gives me heartburn. How abouttrying those soup at hand made by Campbells if you want to do liquids, they are liquid and very filling. Thye worked well for me, give your esophagus a rest for a bit, it seems it had a work out yesterday. Glad to hear you are feeling better this morning, I hope it continues for you

I had my surgery on April 6th last year. Easter last year was on April 11th. I was at a big family gathering and I was on clear liwuids where all I ate was Jello and drank my juice. and everyone else ate like kings and queens This year I was with the same group of people at the same place and I am 85 lbs lighter, I ate whatever I wanted and had no fears of gaining wieght what a great feeling .The topic at the table was how far I had come in a year, You will get through the temptation of those huge meals, it is all worth it in the long run. You can do it P.S. Dont know about that Matzo, I have never eaten it

Marie,I was wondering where you were I m so sorry you had to endure another surgery but Iam glad you are back and on the mend

Jenna, I waited until I was 6 weeks post op to do any kind of exercise. The nutritionalist I had with Dr. Ortiz was not Dr, Miranda a year ago and she told me specifically not to do any exercise until I was on solid foods, she did not want me to become light headed or burn too much lean muscle mass until I was eating enough protein and to besure I was healed all the way. Dr. Miranda may give different instructions then the nutritionalist I had.

I go back to Ortiz for my fills. I have not had a fill any other way so I do not know how it is without flouro, all I can say from my personal experience is that with the flouro comes 2 things, peace of mind seeing and knowing your port and band are where they should be andquicker restriction . I also was told by Martinez with fluoro the can be more accurate on your fills and be a little more agressive. I have had 3 fills and am at 2.5 and have great restriction. It has been said by Dr. Martinez that many U.S doctors are a little more conservative on their fills, & many do not use fluoro which is why they are conservative so they do not make you too tight they have no gage to go on. In my opinion it is a personal preference. I like flouro I feel safer and more comfortable with it.
