I feel your sadness. My 18 yr old son was diagnosed with all of the above mentioned when he was 16. It is not easy seeing your child suffer like this I know first hand. My son is on Zoloft as well as depacoat for the mood swings and an occassional xanax. There are good medications that have helped my son tremendously to lead a happy productive life. There is hope. Ortiz is my doctor and Iam one of those who eroded. I DO NOT blame him. I lost over 100 lbs with my band. It did it's job. My body just rejected the band.

Hi Kathy..I concur with the others, the only way to have peace of mind is to have an endoscopy. I'm sorry to hear of your health problems, vertigo is a horrible thing. I wish you the best and I hope the small unfill will help you some .

I keep saying over and over in my head " nothing tastes as good as skinny feels" It works! I have come too far to let emotional eating ruin my success especially now that I have no band! I will not gain this wegiht back. I love the new me, no emotional reason is worth me eating and gaining weight. For example..right now I have some things going on in my life at this very moment, that is causing me alot of emotional distress..but I'm here posting instead of in the kitchen grazing and eating. It aint easy but I'm doin it!

Most MX docs are trained to fill all bands..I met a woman in my Dr.'s office who had a similar experience, she went to Brazil and realized once she was home no Dr. in the US knew anything about her kind of band so she now goes to MX for her fills.

Ditto! All those carbs would make me ravishing for more. I would be a starving fool all day long. I can not have any carbs in the morning or my whole day is all about food. Hey more power too you if it works for you, wish you luck

No, she has not. She has a personal Chef who cooks her every meal and a Personal trainer who works out with her everyday, she has done it all on her own.

Paula the Advil Liquid Gels work wonders for toothaches and tooth pain..just be sure to wash it through your pouch very good with a large glass of water. My Dr. told me on occassion ibruprofen is OK, as long as it is not sitting in your pouch dissolving..

I had surgery not for vanity reasons...even though I had no co- morbitities. I was 5'5 and weight 265 just a healthy fat person but my mother died at age 51 she weighed 98 lbs and had a heart attack..heart disease runs in my family so it was vital for me to lose the extra weight to not make my chances of a heart attack greater.

8995 for original surgery 500 total so far for all of my fills 3200 for my band removal 100-200 in meds Nexium, Prilosec, antibiotics 50 for cabs and parking in TJ 50 for gas to TJ thousands in special foods and smaller clothing But it was all worth every red cent!

Well off to a good start..lost 1 lb this week..made good choices with food and been drinking 100 oz of water a day..walked 2x's last week rode stationary bike 2 x's for 3 miles each , did my walk diet DVD 1 time.. my ass is sore..Today is a new week..I'm going for 2 lbs this week! Wish me luck

Hmm..weighing the options here... Losing weight or Going to France For me it is simple..LOSING WEIGHT Like Lisa said, France will be there forever. You being bandless Penni, the biggest loser is a great opportunity to continue your journey. I know how important your weight loss is to you and maintaining it and continuing to lose without gaining it back..France has too much fattening food and without a band..WATCH OUT!..Just my opinion

Hi Bright! Welcome Back I'm sorry to hear of your depression but like you said not gaining during depression is a triumph cuz I bet without your band you would of. I'm so happy to see you here posting again..keep posting, it will help..we all are here for you

It has been my experience with fills that some time they can take up to a week to really kick in.. Mine did ..hang in there..

I smoke and I had the band.. the band worked better then any other pill or diet I have ever tried.

My fill took about 1 week to notice a diference.. It is said that U.S docs are more conservative with their fills and have a standard protocol they follow where as the MX docs want you to have restirction right away and are more agressive with their fills. I had a MX doc. My first fill was 1.1cc's and it gave me restirction after about a week and it lasted for several months until I needed another fill.
