  12. Welcome and Congrats on getting approved!! YAY! .. that is such an awesome step ! Best decision ever I have ever made. I've only been banded almost 3 months and things are going well. Ups and downs.. you have a road ahead and it really isn't as hard as you'd think and it gets easier. The hardest part is the emotional eating if you are one of those as many are.. me .. oh yes! Once I get past that, omg.. I am soo golden! Just remember you are worth it to be happy, to feel great and live longer! wishing you all the success! *Hugs*!

  18. Hiyas all! Ok well, I wanted to see if there was anyone out there who can recommend a good pair of work out shoes. Walking, dancing. I am getting into the swing of things and at home while I exercise, I usually do it barefoot. I've read some say it's ok, while other's say it can cause stress on your ankles etc. ( from other sites ). I want every bit of help that will contribute to my success! Thanks in advance!
  19. Girl! I LOVE doing this!! It passes the time quickly and it doesn't feel like you're exercising in the sense of dread... just something fun! and it sure does make ya sweat! hehe have fun!
  20. Loss is a loss and congrats for that!! there are many out there who go through the same thing. What gets me is the.. "testing the limits" .. hun, I can tell you this and have known some who do this with the sleeve, and bypass as well, testing the limits is defeating the purpose of your tool. If you test the limits, you are going to stretch your pouch, and then you really aren't going to feel restriction because every little test you do, stretches it just a little more. Use the tool you have, and stretch YOUR limit but eating less and less and see how you feel, how long it takes you to get hungry, and you will find that more fulfilling and exciting!!! I wish you to all the success!! And Chaz, glad to see you are getting to were you want to be. **hugs to you both**!
  21. Welcome to the family! I can relate to a lot of what you had said, and I feel ya. Change is going to happen, strap on, and enjoy the ride!
  22. Thats awesome Mr fun I to love veggies and I really thank god for that! I still love my steak, I do choose the leaner ones and smaller oz's. Asparagus, is my new best friend as of late. lol.
  23. lol kc! thats true.. time to count.. I always cook that way as well! I also use myfitnesspal. they are all great added tools! try it!
  24. You are not alone. I felt the exact same way, Felt as if I didn't have anything inside and it was just me doing the diet grind once again. But it is band hell, something so many have to endure until the tool starts to work its wonder. I didn't feel much difference till my 3rd fill which I had last weds. Each fill they gave me 2cc. I am at 6 now inside my 14band NOW! I am all giddy and excited because NOW.. I finally feel as if something is here to help me. I eat pretty regular with some small changes so far,, and it helps to keep portion to a minimum. I get so excited! You will get there, not worry Good luck .. it's gonna be great!
  25. while the band's purpose is not to really restrict, ( although it's nice when it does ) it's just suppose to make you feel satisfied with smaller amounts of food. From what I have read, and the way you said it didn't seem like you also didn't work with the band? Still eating the things you shouldn't have. I don't know how it was 7yrs ago, maybe that is what they sold is the restriction.. I can eat anything without anything getting stuck, soft bread, hard bread , whatever, I just know that I put myself through a lot to get this and I had to work with it. It's just a tool as you know. Hope things get better for you. If you want the tool out, talk to your Dr?
