  5. Congrats!!!! Next day is quick. My doc made me stay 5, that was too long I think 3 would b perfect. I love being taken care of and my food well broth coming on a tray. Pain meds at the push of a button...the best part was the hospital bed to help me get up. Lol
  6. You look great!!!! Awesome job!
  7. I love chicken, I LOVE CHICKEN. Why am I having a hard time eating it? I bake or boil or steam it so its moist but the last two times I ate it I puked. I just ate chicken tonite for dinner and I have the worse stomach ache... Could I b eating too fast? Chicken is important to me because I don't eat beef, pork or fish other than baked cod. I'm running out of meat

  14. I guess I'm a baby. i didn't. I was in so much pain I was on the meds for weeks. The doc did tell me my surgery was long so maybe that's why.
  15. My lapband failed and I had a revision to the RNY. It's not a step in the process. Talk with your doc and have a open honest conversation so you and he/she can make the best choice for you! Best Wishes
  16. I'm sure the water is fine it's a liquid so it's just running through. Talk with your doc if you have concerns, but I think he/she would be more worried about dehydration
  17. I joined the YMCA years ago I pay $67 bucks a month for my daughter and I. They have tons of free classes that come with the membership (ex. Cycling, Aerobics, Cross training, total body sculpt, Yoga, Kickboxing, Zumba etc) Plus the work out area, you get a free session with a trainer, pool etc. For us that is about $33.50 per month each and we do the classes togeather and have fun! Start out slow, walking and built up. In the beginning just walking wore me out, last saturday i did kick boxing... I thought i was gonna die LOL but I made it through
  18. Welcome! I had a lapband too and recently had a revision. Best wishes to you!
  19. Ask about complications... All the what if's and has this happened to you. Research the hospital my ensurance would only allow me to go to a hospital that was a "center of excellence/disctinction center" in bariatric surgery. Just know you can ask questions up until they put you out for surgery Blue Distinction Centers are available for: Bariatric Surgery Cardiac Care Complex and Rare Cancers Knee and Hip Replacement Spine Surgery Transplants
  20. Go back to your doc and get renewed/reenergized. You have come so far don't let the weight come back. Let the doc check your levels there could be a reason for the weight gain. Stop the sugar. I know it's easy to say, but start removing it slowly. Go to sugar free items until you can say enough! I'm only 9 weeks and I think about it daily I have to chance the way I eat so there are just certain things I will not eat and that's just how it is. I'm sure it will get harder as I advance, but you can still do this. You have done the hard part and confessed, Now go to work!!!!
  21. I was like that in the beginning and because I would not/could not eat my weight loss stalled. There were times I literally felt I was gonna puke with each bite but I suffered through it and layed down after until I felt ok. That lasted a little while then I was okay now I can eat Try simple things like broth or creamy Soups. You have to get something in. Try mash potatoes or veggies you cook until they are super soft. This will pass... Hang in there
  22. Amen! I take some of these things to my doctor and he looks at me like I'm crazy and say just do what I tell you. (LOL) All of our docs are different people and have different beliefs and methods. ALWAYS the best place to go is the one who has your well being in his/her hand.
  23. Grocery shop before you go in so everything is there foe you when you return, fill all prescriptions, LEGGINS were the best thing for me... when I hade to leave the house for doc appointments I didn't want anything buttoned on the belly. GOOD LUCK!!!!
  24. Congrats!!
