The OCC is extremely clean. An absolutely no worries there very provisional the care you get here at the OCC an at the Hotel Marrott. They were very happy an clean an if you need anything all you have to do is ask.

Hi I got my sleeve on July 4th.an the Dr that was watching over us the night of my surgery held my hand an talked me down as I was feeling very sick. An my panic attacks were so bad. He did it twice through out the night. The staff were fabulous an the personal care was superb I highly recommend OCC. To everyone.

@@Swee_dee Just back from OCC (surgery 8/1) no need to shake in your boots...unless your shaking your booty with excitement...Dr. Ortiz & everyone at OCC were wonderful!! The other ladies who were there having surgery the same time as me were great too...I have 3 brand new friends...I love them & can't wait to reunite with them!! My husband traveled with me under the agreement that if we got there & either of us had any hesitation we would leave...and since I am officially sleeved, you can know that there was none! When Dr. Ortiz came in pre-op he & my hubby got carried away talking about fishing...he was genuine as he appears in his videos, etc. he is very down to earth & honest about nutrition & the importance of nourishing ourselves...not just eating!! The nurses were nice & the other doctors were very professional!! Our recovery Dr. even brought me a Popsicle post-op...I mean what dr. has ever delivered Popsicles to patients!? You'll love OCC!! Best of luck & welcome to the family!!

An I had called there cell phone after I was back in Canada an they called me right back. As I was having calf muscle pain an was worried an that doctor was also great.

Hi everyone,
I am booked for July 2, also self-pay in Mexico. So far, the experience for me has been great, the coordinator answering all of the questions I've put to her. Ginaa, I don't know which surgeon you've been looking at, but the one I chose has a health survey to fill out, then the nutritionist contacts you after review of that. As far as the liquid diet, the info I have at the moment is two weeks liquid supplemented with unlimited green veggies,with a goal of 10% loss unless the nutritionist tells me otherwise.

Hi thanks for getting back to me. I'm having the sleeve done July 4 at the OCC with Dr. Ortiz. I'm going to start my diet to try an loose a bit of weight before the liquid diet I'm a bit worried about that diet. An thank you for the heads up on more leg room. It's a 5 hour flight from toronto to San diago so I'll have to make sure I have space to relax. Thank you again for the reassurance an id love to keep in touch if that's possible glad everything went well for you.

Before surgery, most of us are totally consumed with this WLS. We wonder if or how much weight loss we will lose, we worry about the surgery, the recovery, we worry about what people will say... oh yes even when we don't care what they think we still get hurt by their words. It's all normal and it is all okay. Don't let it get to you, you have made a difficult decision to make your life and your health better. That does not have a size or a number...it's a decision. Let them say what they will... when you lose the weight and you are looking fabulous they change their tune and all they will be able to say is WOW. You are going to love the sleeve. Sure, it will take some getting used to but once you do, it will be wonderful and you will be happy with your weight loss. Good luck and hope you do well.

So far the lady on the phone has just told me I had to go on a liquid diet to loose some weight. For a week or two. But I haven't been told anything else. Can someone share there experience so far? So my new life as a banded women will begin in 2 days. What a 2 weeks this has been. I am down 19 pounds. Thought it was17 pounds I bought a new scale and it shows 19 pounds. I really hope in the next 2 days I can lose 1 more pound to make it 20 pounds. I'm not really nervous at this moment but come Friday it will be different.
