  2. Have you made any phone calls? Do you have someone that helps you manage all the appointments? I'd be bugging the heck out of them!! lol BTW I think your icon pic is gorgeous :]
  3. Welcome to the forums! You'll get tons of support here :] I'm just curious what has been your history with weight gain or loss?

  6. Do it with a friend - no matter what type of exercise you do :] Mall walking is a fun one though! Aka speed window shopping haha! That's how I got prepared to walk around Disneyworld.
  7. I get bad cramps during my periods - are you allowed to take anything for it right after being banded? ? :/
  8. No zumba for 6 weeks?! I dont know how I'm going to survive!
  9. Hey all I've heard that some people were given fills during their surgery, and I had considered talking to my surgeon about it as my insurance only covers everything until a certain date (hoping to be banded in Sept, date ends in october). I'm curious to those whove had the fill with the surgey if they felt that the healing process after was more difficult than those who had their fills at a later date? Anyone can chime in on this - including people who had fills later - would you have opted to have the first fill done during the surgery?
  10. Bless you sweetie. Hope your recovery goes well.
  11. That is awesome!!! Non-scale victories :] Not people who love you. I don't care what people think, I haven't been able to keep it off on my own, I want quality of life, and this IS me getting HELP. And if for some reason the lap band did fail I would hope you'd be surrounded by people who encourage you to move on to the next thing that could help and support you into not giving up. <3
  12. Awesome awesome awesome!
  13. How exciting! Congrats on starting your journey :]
  14. Yes!!!! Keep us updated :]
  15. Just curious if there's a place or website where you can get singles or samples? I've started with the Matrix Milk Chocolate and love it, but would like to try some others, especially the "non flavored" ones.
  16. Hi shelly! It sounds like you did a great job! Even with weight gain you seem very successful, congrats on that! Stay positive!
  17. My biggest fear is definitely something happening during the surgery, but I love all the advice here! Thank you all so much, very supportive - I love you guys!
  18. Awesome! Share pics of what you get
  19. I'm guessing that there's a good portion of banders who had second thoughts before getting the band, how did you talk yourself out of letting fear get the better of you? Did you talk to friends or family and find comfort in them? Or other bandsters? Also, what was your major fear?
  20. I agree whole heartedly with Kime - Good luck to you finding a new doctor, find one who cares and will treat you right! Seems like the last one has definitely put a bad taste in your mouth, and you need to be surrounded by supportive people, doctors and nurses included.
