  1. Snow You have done so well. And you speak the truth. This isn't easy. But it does get better every day.
  2. I am just three weeks out and I have no appetite what so ever, Don't feel hungry or too full. Haven't eaten very much, Still drinking several protein shakes a day and lots of liquids.

  4. wishing you the best. Hope if it is a stricture you can get treated very soon. The Holidays make it harder to get into Doc ect.
  5. Looking forward to you story. And like others have said don't over do. glad you feel so good, but don't be shocked if there is a day here and there that you feel like the rug has been pulled out from under you, that happens. but then every day will be better and better.

  8. Wishing you and your family to be well. Get lots of rest and try to concentrate on getting fluids in. There is little else you can do but ride it out. Just try not to get dehydrated. Merry Christmas to you and yous and hope you all feel better very soon.
  9. I really think a couple of days at your Mom's might be a good idea. And then you will feel great getting back into your own home and routine. But let Mom take care of you for a couple of days. I am sure you could manage fine on your own, but why chance it if you don't have to. Espeically with the holidays and everything. Just don't let them wait on you too much you still need to get up and walk around the house and remember to keep getting the liquids in.
  10. Praying for healing and less pain. Thanks for sharing your journey so far. It is not always easy and things do happen and I thank you for letting us know. I also pray for comfort and peace of mind. You are going through a bunch and I wish you the very best. Gentle Hugs
  11. Very interesting. I have not had a problem getting fluids in. And my pee is really clear so i am super happy about that. I was worried pre surgery that hydration would be a real problem and I would be one of those that had to go back to hospital and get iv fluids, but so far I really have been able to drink a lot. Here's to hoping everyone's fingers plump up
  12. I waited about a week and a half before I drove. Only then cause I wasn't taking any pain meds and the trips were very short. I don't work outside the home. But if I did I don't think I would be quite ready to go back yet., I will be three weeks post op Wednesday this week. But gauging how I am doing if I had to go back to a job probably Next week I would feel up to it. I am already doing more and more things around the house. So I think it depends on your job. Making sure that you have a plan for eating and drinking while you are at work and getting your vitamins in. Make a schedule and stick to it so you don't become dehydrated or miss your vitamins. Get your protein in so you will have some energy.
  13. I have had a couple of the foamies when I have drank to big a drink of something. Used to happen a lot while I was banded. So it kinda shocked me just a bit, but then I thought back to being banded and thought it was probably the same thing. Used to call it a productive burp.
