well I thought I was doing good since the surgeon did a dilatation about a month ago but the past few days I have noticed pain when eating and then when drinking and now the amount consumed is less and less no vomiting as of yet but this is how it started the first time. I am 8 weeks post op today

thanks I just don't know what it is. I am in pain even when not eating and drinking!! I moved my bedroom furniture around yesterday and been having a different pain in left side under my rib cage that is unrelated to the eating and drinking issue.

at the ER hopefully find out what's

going on. today the pain turned into like spasms and is aweful!!

My doc said 2-3 times for dilation of a stricture. Best of luck.

When did they find the first stricture and how long did they wait before opening it?

the first stricture I was almost 4 weeks post op. this one almoat 2 months post op.

they fixed it within a day or two

Ugh, sorry to hear that. I had surgery on the 11th, had been fine and started with horrible pain and vomiting on the 20th. Been hospitalized since. They found the block, but plan to wait 5 more days of nothing by mouth before considering dilation. I guess dr knows best, but I'm quite sick of being in the hospital, especially since as long as I don't eat I feel fine. Hope you have a quick recovery. Thanks.

oh my!! sorry you are going through this!! i wonder wphy they are waiting its not like it will fix itself it only closes more

IDK, I have been asking myself the same thing. Either way I hope you get better soon. And thanks for the info, somehow it made me feel a bit better knowing I'm not weird by having all these issues.
